I am guessing you must work for Lasfit based on the way you are covering for them.
I’m in NC…I have no affiliation with lasfit although I kinda wish I did. Lol. Just been in the led game for a loooong time. They can market them as “anti hyper flash” bc that’s why they are. Built in resistors mean no hyper flash but everything has its limits. A bulb in a confined space can only last so long before the leds get too hot, hence the hyper flash.

This is precisely why, vleds who are my preferred brand anyway, sell their tritons will external resistors
And they have the price tag to go with it.

Lasfit quality is top notch and in my experience you get about 7 minutes of continuous use before they behave oddly due to temp issues. We have used Lasfit canbus LEDs in many cars and never had issues.
Most times I've ever had to use hazards, it's been for more than 7 minutes, so for me, hazard lights (those are the turn signals after all) not working after only 7 minutes of continuous use, would be an issue and not something I should just expect to happen.

LEDs are just light emitting semi-conductors and all semi conductors hate heat and need to be cooled. These 'bulbs' have small heat sinks but sitting inside a lens cover, apparently, does not allow air enough air to circulate to cool the chips.

I'm wondering why the white LEDs in the switchback bulbs (which are on all the time the lights are on and the turn signals are off) are not failing. Maybe they have less lumens and create less heat than the amber LEDs. hey both seem to use the same heat sink and they are both in the same lens cover.

I'm amazed, we have this efficient LED yet, we have to add a load resistor to create heat.🤔

Led draw less current than an incandescent bulb so the car things it’s out…hence the hyper flash. Not the bulbs fault…the car is just doing what it’s supposed to do

Nothing y’all are describing is “weird” or “bad” or “gonna mess something up”…internal canbus leds usually have a time limit to where after that, they hyperflash. Just turn it off, wait a few seconds and turn it back on. Voila.
Mr Scott we need more Power !! Captain I'm giving you all I got any more and we'll Blow the antimatter containment field 🤯

It’s not lasfit…it’s ANY led bulb that has built in canbus/resistors. They all have a time limit for lack of better words. Turn off and turn back on, issue gone
Not to mention a reduction in Lumens would be reasonable. I'm not looking to illuminate all the street signs within 75 yards of me and the Mav at night time.

My switchbacks hyper flashed yesterday.

Kind of sucks, I was just at a long intersection when it did it. Maybe 5-7 min I'm not sure. It was a warmer day here in CA so I guess that's why it did it. I still really like the way they look so I'll just live with it for a little until it pisses me off I guess :)

I still haven't had a hyperflash yet, but we haven't had a warm day yet up here on the water along the Puget Sound. For you folks who have experienced hyperflash due to the temp, is the hyperflashing just inside in your console or outside too on the actual signal?

I second this... They are a little pricey but worth it and no issues. Plus they usually offer 30% for Black Friday/cyber Monday.
