Lariat trims are a hard sell but coming from a a different brand the Lariat was the only car that has standard features I came to expect.

Yeah I bought a lariat Ecoboost for about 3k more than an XLT would have been but what pushed me over the edge was that the likely depreciation of my trade-in and maintenance costs over the 3+months it took to deliver - it made the gap much narrower (that and the orange import tax).

From what I read in a previous thread, I believe the answer is no. Still, $750 is better than $500. ;)
I’m going to be curious if my order gets price hiked, if so, will be looking for a lariat on the lot already, but zero around me in azure gray.

I really like my Lariat seats.
But alas, They will all soon be covered up.
I put my dog seat protector in the back. It’s cold here now but at soon as it gets hot I will throw some nice breathable seat covers on over the front seats.

If by chance I have a third human with me, they get the honor of riding in the dog pen.

Yeah I call it that.
Prolly why I don’t have but a few friends.
And they are dog people.

I will say the 25 Lariat seats look better. The bronze color isn't as bold. Even then the older Lariat seats look a lot better in person than in pictures.

Me a 2023-Maverick Lariat-hybrid owner, Cyber-Orange. My dealer at Auburn WA, wanted Maverick orders so much in September 2022, that they have a $500 discount.

(they want orders so much because no-shows by the customers, let the dealer sell the trucks [ that were in short supply], for a big fat profit in 2023)

Thus my Lariat-Hybrid, with Cyber color ($500), electric rear window, trailer hitch, and 360 automated-driver-assist (top version of that), and top-LUX-pack, total price with $1500 shipping , was $32,500

and then of course add WA-State Dem-party sales tax of 11 percent. that's ELEVEN PERCENT sale tax.

I feel sad for new buyers that they cant get that price deal now. I did not want to 100% buy any new vehicle right then, due to interest rates and tax planning.. but I knew this price deal absolutely would not last. Ford was losing money on these loss-leader mavericks. So.. i went ahead, sold stocks.. paid income tax.. and purchased it with cash.

My year-2023 Lariat Maverick-Hybrid, did not have the 360 camera option available yet for that year..

I did get the assisted-driving ADAS-"360" top package.

I rented a Nissan Rogue with that 360 parking camera...
But I'd never buy a Nissan.. i had owned several so I know better now.

love that 360 parking camera option... if such an option keeps you or family member from one single parking accident, it more than pays for itself.

I have had my 2025 AWD hybrid XLT Maverick, complete with moonroof and the luxury and 4K tow packages, and actually quite love it. I waited for this particular drivetrain since the model’s introduction. However, I have since been fighting Lariat envy, what with the 360 camera system, leatherette seats, upgraded sound system, and electric rear window, although this trim level would have run about $8500 more. Furthermore, I generally find cloth seats to be more comfortable than leatherette or even leather and I can always upgrade the sound system. Can anyone offer some perspective on this mental dilemma?
The price difference between your XLTand Lariat isn’t $8.5K. Lariat is 40,650 as comparable configured an XLT at 37,290. That is less than 3.4K.

I think the additional cost justifies moving up to a Lariat imo but the price gulf you present is fiction.

I've got the 360 camera on my Bronco and love it. When you weigh everything you get with the Lariat it's worth it. Now I get why some people can't spend the $$, when I was younger I would have been in the XL or XLT. I just laugh at the guys who think anyone that doesn't have their trim level is foolish. There are plenty of XL folks who think XLT buyers are crazy for spending all that addition loot on those "fancy" options. But I do agree with the XLT + Lux being the worst deal, for a little more than $3k you just get so much more truck.

I have a cloth XLT Tremor interior that I might sell (pulled brand new from a customer's XLT Tremor who wanted to do leather from the get go). We survived two winters and a summer in the desert with the ActiveX in a Lariat BAP equipped vehicle. I think well be okay.

Fake leather SUCKS.
Our Sienna has it and it gets swampy feeling even in cold weather. Doesn't breathe well at all. Same with Lariat. No thanks. Can't believe they can upcharge for that synthetic crap.

Cloth is better. Real leather was good too, but not really needed. My 2016 VW had a nice, high quality cloth fabric - definitely better than the Maverick (and similarly priced), but for what my truck cost, its fine.

When ordering, the biggest 'miss' of a Lariat was adaptive cruise control. We love it for longer drives. Much less taxing. Luckily I was able to add that to my XL thanks to someone's pioneering work. (thread link in sig)

You must like vinyl seats or like sweating your butt and backside. Either way it's a personal choice. Me I think it's a far better deal with the XLT. Now if they offered cloth seats on the Lariat I would have to think s little more on it.

I'm just not going to live with vinyl seats on a daily basis, it's a deal breaker for myself. Myself I like comfort, thus wanting A/C and heat. Best of luck with your Lariat.
I had vinyl seats in two of my F-150’s
In the Florida heat, I drove 90,000 miles a year.
Never a sweaty back,

I had Air conditioning.

I agree that if you are getting the xlt with lux you should just get the Lariat.

Can you show a picture of which dog seat protector you are using?

The perspective is, you get what you pay for. Xl owners have the same mental dilemma over xlt owners.

Absolutely not a political reply here. Please don't consider it one. I'm apolitical.

OP, how does $18,000 more for that Lariat sound? That's what a new Lariat order might cost come Sunday. 25% tariffs on a $40,000 vehicle is a $10,000 plus-up. And 25% tariffs on Mexico are promised on 1 February (tomorrow). And Mavericks are made in Mexico.

I'm sitting back in my easy chair with my popcorn ready.

Bonus thought: Will Santa Cruz buyers be making fun of Mavericks for costing so much more starting next week? Since the Santa Cruz is built in the USA?
Mexico can solve the border crisis in one day by stopping their and other country's migrants from approaching our border. Ford could avoid the trarrif by bringing their manufacturing back to the USA. If the competition can build, as you said, the Santa Cruz here in the USA, then Ford also can in the Maverick. Many of the problems people are having may be traceable back to who is working on them at the factory.

People forget the Lariat has sound deadening windshield, electric sliding rear window, used to have Michelin tires, soft-wrapped steering wheel, seat heaters, heated steering wheel, more USB ports, etc.
