-27° drivers door froze shut. I got in on the passenger side sliding across the leather seats to the driver side.
some folks don't know when to just go back to a nice warm bed!

I've tried all the fake leathers. Toyota, FORD, GM, Subaru... Ok, not all but enough. Not a fan. Even perforated leather with fans during summer and seat warmers during winter, I have grown apart from. Getting in and out of the vehicle no matter how careful you are is public enemy number 1 after a certain period of time. Not so much with cloth.

I used a lot of 303 on the Maverick pleather to keep a coating on it so to speak and it was noticeable with and without the application, but never really changed how it retains temperature changes or the need for constant adjustment on longer trips.

Without a doubt the best interior I had was in a '22 Escape and it was exactly the same type of cloth they used in the Mavericks. I loved it. I didn't realize how much I loved it until it was gone. So whatever comes next, definitely cloth as long as it's not super cheap stuff.

Does your Longhorn have fabric or leather?

Would I prefer cloth in the Lariat? Yes and No.

Yes - for all the reasons you just highlighted.

No - for the simple fact that I use my truck as a truck - which means my dogs, kids, tools, other random shit, and then my own dirt and grim find their way into the cab of a vehicle.

ActiveX makes it so easy to wipe down and keep an interior clean and that is important to me. It may not be for others and that’s why we have different trim levels.

Man I'd kill for that option on higher trim levels. But good points. Easy to wipe off. Cloth is going to need some treatment and if it gets stained, steamed. I never dropped anything on any of my leather/pleather vehicles.

I actually love my active-x seats. They are easy to clean. They are very comfortable with good back support. If it is too hot in my Maverick, I use the air conditioning and thus I have no problem with my skin sticking to active-x material. Also, the seats are wonderful when I turn on the heated seat feature!!!

I would not have minded the cloth but wanted all the xtras with the Lariat. Just picked mine up last night, love it. The 360 cameras are awesome and the black appearance with the Velocity Blue really shines. Just wish it didn't cost as much as the Tremor, lol. Any way its always just a personal preference. Enjoy your new Mavericks, as they are going to cost a lot more tomorrow.

Only thing I would like from the lariat are the head lights and maybe pro trailer assist. The sound system on the 25 xlt is much better than what was on my 22 xlt.

Something that a lot of people don't realize is the Lariat steering wheel is way softer. The wife's Explorer is a Limited trim and the steering wheel is horrible by comparison.

I decided on the Lariat because of the added driver safety package. That, and the trailer hitch assist are the only things that I value enough to spend the extra money for.

There are 3 reasons why I ordered the 25 Lariat. First, the pro trailer assist package is a game changer imho. Second, the safety features are awesome (especially the 360 camera). Third was the price. With the $750 cash rebate, I will be paying only $2400 more for the 25 Maverick compared to my 22 Maverick!

From what I read in a previous thread, I believe the answer is no. Still, $750 is better than $500. ;)

I liked everything on the lariat except for the fake leather "ActiveX" seat material. When you get to over 110° even real leather without ventilation holes sucks, especially black like I had my previous Buick.
I have a 350 that has black leather seats with ventilation holes and they do have ventilation.
The fabric seats of the XLT and XL are far more practical fo me.

I really like my Lariat seats.
But alas, They will all soon be covered up.
I put my dog seat protector in the back. It’s cold here now but at soon as it gets hot I will throw some nice breathable seat covers on over the front seats.

If by chance I have a third human with me, they get the honor of riding in the dog pen.

Yeah I call it that.
Prolly why I don’t have but a few friends.
And they are dog people.
