My Alert + Aid was set to Normal, I'm going to try High to see if any change. I didn't think about changing this setting. There is a picture of a steering wheel between two lines on your steering wheel. When you set cruise, you should have a green steering wheel indicating the centering is active. If you only see a green car, then you are only on lane keeping. Just push the steering wheel picture to activate. Cruise has to be activated for it to work and the lanes need to be clear. Otherwise, it will default to lane keeping.
If that is correct, then go into the menu on the instrument panel. You should be able to find a setting called "driver assistance" or something like that. Make sure it is set to "Alert+Aid" and adjust the intensity. I have mine set to normal.
I have found it to be very tight in keeping me in the middle of the lane on both my Maverick and Explorer. So, if you have yours set the same I don't know what else it could be.
