There is a picture of a steering wheel between two lines on your steering wheel. When you set cruise, you should have a green steering wheel indicating the centering is active. If you only see a green car, then you are only on lane keeping. Just push the steering wheel picture to activate. Cruise has to be activated for it to work and the lanes need to be clear. Otherwise, it will default to lane keeping.

If that is correct, then go into the menu on the instrument panel. You should be able to find a setting called "driver assistance" or something like that. Make sure it is set to "Alert+Aid" and adjust the intensity. I have mine set to normal.

I have found it to be very tight in keeping me in the middle of the lane on both my Maverick and Explorer. So, if you have yours set the same I don't know what else it could be.
My Alert + Aid was set to Normal, I'm going to try High to see if any change. I didn't think about changing this setting.

I'm curious to hear your feedback but when I got my '22 first edition I played with those settings and my recollection is that they only affected lane keeping behavior, not ACC lane centering.

Maybe you could check with an auto glass shop? They have to recalibrate the sensors when replacing windshields, so maybe they'd be familiar with this issue and how to correct it

i feel the same way but i just chalk it up to my vision telling me i need to be closer to the line I'm driving near. Looking at the mirror cameras i can verify im centered.

they would do this either by sending it to a Ford dealership, or in-house through FRDS which costs them quite a bit of money per day or per year, so I doubt they would do it for free, let alone at all if you didn't have a windshield replaced by them.

Our '21 Explorer favored the right side of the lane. With modern cars and trucks there aren't any really good visual markers on the hood that you could line up with the left lines on the road as many older vehicles had. It might also have something to do with how your roads are canted; in the east I recall most were high in the center but in AZ they tend to be flat but canted to one side or the other for drainage. (Highways might be anyone's guess.)
We have bike riders in AZ who ride the line in their bike lane giving us collision alerts unless we stay hard left in the lane. And everything in AZ is under construction all the time.

What I meant is: ask them if this is something they've seen before

Is it that it's pulling to one side or is it because you're looking at your mirrors and out the windows at different angles? 😊

Forscan will put the 2022s in recalibration mode. Can confirm because I've done it. Dunno for the 2025s, as Colin mentioned.
