So I swear I had settings for lane assist under the driver assistance section of the gauge menu when I first got my truck. Its an XLT with the copilot 360 1.0. I turned it off on the stalk with the button for a while, but now that entire menu seems to have disappeared. It still works fine if I turn it on with the stalk, and it vibrates the wheel if I go out of lane which I remember setting it to.

This is either a software bug or im losing my mind. Has anyone else seen this? How do I get the menu back, lol.

Thats correct. I have none of that besides pre collision assist for some reason. I have the 6.5 inch screen if that matters
Ryan,
Can you post a picture of your driver assist screen like I have?
I'd like to see what yours is actually populated with.
Thank you
GB

I tried it, all intensity levels, fun to play with but I preferred to drive my car the old fashioned way.
By paying attention to every aspect of the driving experience.
I will not start relying on these, driving aids, crutches.
They diminish driver skills.

The crash part, thing see’s a car too close in front or gets confused by a car in the next lane around a curve It over brakes. Going to get someone rear ended.

But still it’s way cool to turn it on and play with my phone at 60 mph. NOT !

I get what you're saying. I drove a dumb car with manual transmission and zero help for years. I prefer doing most of the driving myself, but some of the assists are nice like the blind spot monitoring and the cross traffic alert in parking lots. Just little unobtrusive helping hands in case you're tired or mess up. I don't think I'll be using the lane assist unless I'm driving tired (which I don't plan to do), but I was going crazy trying to figure out where I had seen the configuration options...

Thank you posting the pictures and replying. Pictures help tremendously when trying to describe something. Pictures also help folks gain of perspective that might not be possible with just words.
I'm glad that you found out it is still active. I would rather drive a vehicle and have other vehicles equipped with these driver safety assistances than not.
When I'm on a road trip. I only drive during daylight hours. I enjoy looking at the scenery as I drive and I appreciate the lane keeping assistance. Then again if the road becomes twisty I turn it off.

“the blind spot monitoring and the cross traffic alert in parking lots.”
Checking blind spots means you’ve got to move a little.
Cross traffic, yeah ya gotta turn your head way around and actually look. The less we move the stiffer we get.

The pursuit of comfort accelerates aging.
A recliner sitting in front of the TV. A practice session for a coffin. Why ?
Because we spend more time in a recliner.

I agree thats why the word in it is assist not takeover. I like using it when Im driving in really narrow lanes on the highway next to 18 wheelers.

I use mine all the time, even on short trips, and no, not so I can look at my phone while driving. It makes for a more relaxing drive not having to constantly monitor speed or coming up too fast on a car in front of you. It comes in particularly handy with crosswinds and not having to fight them. The computer does a much better job of keeping my Maverick centered in gusting wind than I could ever do. The only part I don't like about it is when someone pulls out in front of you and it slows way down while you're in the process of switching lanes to go around the person that has failed to judge the speed of an oncoming car. It's also nice after stopping for a stoplight and you're the first car in line, Just hit resume and you're on your way.
