They will need a warrant to "pull data", we still have search and seizure rights in this country. Then if/when they have it, they will have to prove it contributed to the crash, not just because it was on. You might want to be more worried about what speed it will indicate or at what point you hit the brake etc.Yes, and when you get into an accident and the insurance company finds out you enabled it with Forscan be ready for them to drop you like a hot potato.
And before you say "how will they know?" they'll simply pull the data from the modules and see it's not a standard configuration.
The only time they have fee access to your vehicle's computer is if they total the car, you get paid, then they own the data, cause they own it.
Don't get yourself in such a panic, all these features shut off when you tap the brake and if you have ever used the lane centering, it appears you haven't, you are still in control of the car and need to make continuous steering movements or it will again shut off after warning you to keep your hands on the wheel. When you are making these steering adjustments, you are in fact overpowering the lane centering feature, even if you are a frail person. And if you can't gain control, tap the brake, very very simple.
