I had this rack on my outback and plan to sell it because I'm more of a tailgate pad guy but without a doubt this rack is my favorite on the market. I think it looks the best, is extremely intuitive and comes laced with features and utility that no other rack does. So as I'm about to drive from Texas to Ohio in a premove trip I'm going to take my bike and such back up and figured I'd set it up to see how it goes and pass it along to yell.

Rack fits great, in the mid tailgate position there's no contact with the rack when it's in its angled position. Seems like the tail lights aren't hampered for visibility and your plate shouldn't be covered to cause any issue as well.

Bike is a Cannondale Habit 4 size XL.

Any questions feel free to ask. I hauled my bike down form ohio to texas on the outback with absolutely zero issue and expect the same taking it back on the maverick.

Very nice setup!! (y) Also noted, another Maverick with a slack tailgate cable!!:(
Thanks and while I noticed it too....I honestly don't care. I'll see how it does when I haul my dirt bike here in a couple days but in sure it'll be a non issue for me.

Looks awesome!
I will also transport my MTB (Hopefully next month) on the bed using a pad over the tail gate. 🤘🤘

Is there enough space to have a couple bikes on the tailgate AND use the Kuat? I have the base Kuat rack and love it, but it's not extendable like the NV 2.0 and i'll need some space for kids' bikes eventually.

I've never tried but just eye balling it I'm sure there's plenty room.

One of the best bike racks on the market! I added a 6" dropper extension to clear the tailgate with bike loaded! The rack also works for Tandems!

Can we get a full side view photo? I'm running a 9" extension to clear the tail gate.

I picked up a two-bike rack from harbor freight for $30. It seems solid enough. It certainly can't compare to some of the others mentioned here but it holds two bikes securely, is easy to attach/remove, and folds down to allow for tailgate access - be sure to use the upper cable mounts on the tail gate. The price made it easy to give it a try.
