Oh Man we may have something here! Is it easy to connect and remove ramp to tailgate? I also find it difficult to load a heavier bike with the gaps in the ramp. Funny I have the same GS and love it! I also have an XT 250 I use for camping and local trails, very light and easy to load.
I use a Kuat NV2.0 with a small extension for tailgate clearance.. My wife and I ride a Tandem and was able to mount it on the Kuat. I have to say its a very stout bike rack with never a single issue.
No issues with a Yamaha XT250 loaded on the Maverick with folding tri cover! I use two ramps to load, fork saver and Pro Taper straps. The Yamaha XT is lightweight and a very capable trail bike!
E-Trailer now makes the plugin harness for the Maverick. Now just waiting for the price to come down a bit!

Oh my gosh! This happened to me, but my problem was the dealer put a completely different address on the paperwork. My title and plates went to an address I had never heard of! When I looked at all the paper work later, the address was correct in some areas but all DMV stuff was wrong! I ended...
Just thought I'd share what works for me. I had been wondering how using my Kuat bike rack folded down would work to transporting my Kayak. I was able to secure the kayak well and loading and unloading was very easy!
So far been loving my Bed Rug and my setup! I have a trifold hard cover and Kuat bike rack on the back. Also using a dropper hitch so I can fully drop the tailgate while bikes are loaded. I'm always throwing gear in the back so the Bed rug is super comfy on my knees.
That's what I thought as it was a bit difficult to pop the snaps that hold the bumper on. I simply started with the sides and used a pry bar from behind! Once you pop the first few you will see the rest will pop easily! You only need to remove enough snaps to lift the bumper.
You will love the power on such a light weight vehicle. Traction is also fantastic as the full weight of the engine is on your drive wheels. I've had my 2.0 Ecoboost Fwd since Nov.
Ok, Was able to do the measurement. The rectangular tube measures 3-5/16" X 2". Reality is the crash bar is the exact size of the hitch without the dropdown receiver. It would be super easy for a welder to just add a receiver to the crash bar!
I absolutely agree, If you order the truck definitely order the factory hitch/receiver! Mine was an oversight on my part! I tried to add it a month later, dealer said it was too late even though my Maverick had not been built yet! It was a bunch of laziness from my dealer.
