So my Maverick appears to have minor damage from someone possibly trying to break in. So I ordered the two stickers for the drivers side doors and some touch up paint for the scratches on the inside of the door and door frame. I figured I would post up the pics since I couldn't find anything about removal of the Maverick keypad.

With parts in hand, I lowered the windows, removed the outside window trim bolts (only 1 per door). I removed the keypad by using a wide blade flathead, using a twisting motion near the top of the keypad, I was able to get enough room to use a small flathead to depress the metal spring clip. FYI at the bottom of the keypad are plastic retaining clips. I was able to pull the rubber window track from its slot in the door, just enough to allow for sticker removal and install of the new stickers. I didn't require any heat to remove the old stickers, but my truck was only a week old. I did one at a time to help with lining up the new sticker, but it would have been cool to see what it looks like with them totally removed. My rubber window track was easy to get back in, cycled the windows up and down a few times, made a few adjustments and good as new. If your window track is being a pain, in the past I've used a wooden paint stir stick to get it back in the door slots.

Part numbers are: NZ6Z 21275A37 BA and NZ6Z 26275A37 AA.

Step 1. I used a wide flat blade screwdriver to get the top of the keypad pried out a bit, then I was able to push down on the metal spring clip (#2) with a small flat blade.
The trim is part of the keypad unlike some others that Ford uses, where the trim pops off.

To remove the outer window sill, I just had to take out this bolt. I believe I used either a
7 or 8 mm socket.

On the bottom of the keypad you can see the plastic tabs.

Found it interesting that it is painted under the vinyl stickers.

Thank you!! I got hit by a turkey and the only damage was popping out the mirror, scratching the heck out of those decals, and a new pair of undies. Can you post a link to where you got the part? I found this link but it would be great to confirm it's right.

I'd like to replace mine with hidden numbers that light up when you touch them like on the Explorer

When I was researching this, I came across a video of a guy that took the keypad off the door of his Bronco and placed it inside his gas door, but it was the battery operated unit.

I checked my bill. Part numbers are NZ6Z 21275A37 BA and NZ6Z 26275A37 AA. They cost me $24, Canadian at the dealership. I checked on TASCA parts and they are under $13 US on their site.

Now thats just "fowl" --its a ford truck forum, someone had to make the bad dad joke.

---In all seriousness. It is kind of scary that the keypad can come off that easy. Does anyone know, or man enough to figure out if you can unlock the doors by screwing with the wires?

I had the same thought, but I would assume that the keypad is just an input device to a control module, so to unlock the doors would require the correct input sequence. But the movie buff in me still wonders:unsure: if you could strip two wires and arc them together to get in.

I would hope your assumption is right, but the tinkerer in me knows that cheap electric locks are pretty much just relays, once you punch in the correct code, the signal is sent to bridge two wires (its how my front door is...just dont break into my house now).

$24 from the dealership? I was quoted $50-60 lol

Still waiting on Ford to get the actual Putco Black Stainless Steel with Keypad trims in stock. They are available for Maverick'a without a keypad.

Mine were $24 each because I think they sold them to me at cost, as I believe the damage happened in transit, but I didn’t notice until a few days after getting it home.
I’m not sure if the stainless covers would have covered the affected area. When you get yours installed, you should post up some pics, I couldn’t find very many real life pics of them.

Been waiting over a year for them to come up in stock and they never showed up in the system at the dealer. Ford has them listed as an accessory since the truck's been for sale. They seem to wrap around the door, snug fit, and with 3M VHB tape on the exterior side.

Noticed my passenger side was marred up/ripped in one spot. However, there was quite a few scratches and missing paint on the B-pillar and where the door meets. Oddly, I noticed it after taking it in for winter tires. Looked like someone tried using a door opening tool, which the dealer body shop noted.
