I recently had this front license plate bracket installed alongside my tonneau cover. What's concerning to me is its placement. Is this mounted too low? I feel like this is going to cause improper air flow and result in overheating issues. I know that the radiator and active grille shutters sit right behind it. After install, I made this very point aware to the technician and he swears that this is the proper placement for it. He said the dimples for the screw holes were integrated into the lower grille which holds true. The only thing is, I feel like that is for the bottom screws of the bracket and not the top. The top has to be drilled into the paint, which in this case, the front bumper itself. That's how I see it on virtually every member's Maverick on here. Feedback is most appreciated.

I wouldn't want it there, honestly. It's directly blocking the about 1/3 of the intercooler. That is not proper placement.

So yeah its wrong, it goes on the red part of the bumper and the two screws into the lower. The 4 dimples in the holder should line up with the dimples in the black plastic where he forced those two screws through, and the other two a bit wider will line up with dimples in the red. They are suppose to be pop rivets.

Sadly it's supposed to go on the painted bumper, however if I had my choice I would put it over the inner cooler opening myself. If mine wasn't already pre-installed on the painted part of the bumper.

He even screwed up where the screws are supposed to go you can see the dimples and holes already in the bracket for the screws.

Like the moment he goes to put the plate on the whole thing will fall off.

Yep because the idiot technician mounted it to the holes for the license plate screws into only at the top, The bottom just slides in and holds it in place.

At least we're the technician drilled the holes if he mounts the bracket and the proper location the lower portion of the bracket will cover the holes the technician drilled improperly.

Thank you all for your feedback. I had a feeling it was installed wrong. Thankfully, he used Phillips screws so I unscrewed it and mounted up higher where it's supposed to go. The bottom holes are holding it in place for now. I found the right sized pom rivets and drill bit so I'm gonna fix it myself.

I feel bad for you folks living in states that require a front plate!
I don't yet but soon will be. I figured I might as well do it now so that way it's done. Sure, it doesn't look as nice but it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.

Actually, I'm trying to find a '25 non-Tremor with the front plate bracket mounted. There's a guy on FB loosing his mind that it blocks "a THIRD" of the ACC plate.

Here's a '25 Tremor I found last weekend.

I do love the front fascia of the Tremor so much better than non-Trems

We'll be fine. I've had front plates my whole life and it's really not a big deal.
