Is this a scam or just a great price?

I had the Pirelli AS Scorpion Plus 3's put on my 2024 Lariat They were fantastic in every category.

BUT !

I had no snow to try them on.
I paid $116 each after Fords discounts.

Actually they were smoother, quieter and out handled any Michelin I ever had.

I've been burned by Walmart 3rd party sellers a couple of times when I failed to notice I wasn't buying from Walmart. I think it's pretty sneaky. When I'm on Walmart.com I want to buy stuff from Walmart and not some donkey who sends me obviously not new merch.

Note that you'll be dealing with the 3rd party and not Walmart if there is an issue. I found that out the hard way.

How has the MPG been on your Defenders? I've been thinking about those when the time comes. The CC2's, I think are more than I need, although I have not ruled them out.
I'm usually getting around 42-48 MPG. I live right in the middle of a major city so 95% of that is city driving. But they are good tires, only reason I'm going to the CC2's is because I go up to Virgina 2-3 times every year, mostly around the fall/wintertime and I want the extra traction in the snow/sleet.

Truth is, if I didn't go up there all the time I would stick with the Defenders. Probably some of the better tires I've owned.

Yep, generally if you see a third party item on Wal Mart you can do some work and find that item direct and decide to buy from there or not.

I was looking for an item and found the exact one on Temu for less. Basically Wal Mart was simply a service selling Temu items.

Made a mistake once buying a metal shed on Lowes which was set up this way. The ad stated clearly it had a floor. It did not. I contacted Lowes where they explained how they didn't actually sell the item BUT verifying the ad (their ad) was incorrect they offered to pick it up and give me my money back.

No more third party click throughs.

I think my stock Pirellis were great too, never had any problems in wet or dry conditions. I actually thought they were the best tires that I've had in the rain 🤷‍♂️ they did suck in snow tho, I got Pirelli Winter tires for the snow.

IMO find a local tire shop that has a good reputation that will install a set of Michelin Defenders or Cross Climate and don’t look back, hard to beat their quality and warranty and year around driving conditions (not off road). Most tire shops will rotate them for free if you purchased the tires from them for the life of the tires which extends the life of the tires.

TEMU is a website for 3rd party sales. My rule about buying from TEMU is if I am not comfortable throwing that money in the trash then skip ordering the product. I purchased a ladder rack off Temu that specifically said designed to fit a Maverick using factory mounting points. It did NOT. The instructions literally said to cut a hole through the wheel well for installation and attachment to flex rails! Contacted Temu for return, they said I needed to contact the "seller". The seller of course was in China but fulfilled from a California warehouse. The fine print states buyer responsible for return shipping cost to country of origin. It would have cost me twice the cost of the item for return shipping to China. Second item from Temu was a porch swing cushion my GF ordered. If comes in a vacuum air extracted plastic bag lie the advertise on infomercials. Solid gray plastic so we can't see the product without opening the bag. Open it, wrong color, contact "seller" and Temu. Return policy states must be in original packaging in unopened condition. Temu offered a discount on my next order through them. There won;t be a next order, 2 strikes is all I'm giving them.

Looking for some new tires for my '23 Hybrid XLT. Saw some people suggest the Pirelli AS Scorpion Plus 3's. I found this listing on Walmart for $130 a piece, is there anything to be worried about? I have no prior experience buying tires. Thanks

I don't recommend pirelli tires. They're rock hard, wear terribly, high road noise, bad in the rain and ride badly. I've put Cooper tires on a couple of my vehicles and been happy with them. Currently running their ProControl on my Mav and they're great so far. 10/10

Huh? I haven't had any of those experiences with my Pirelli tires, just terrible snow experience. I wonder if climate difference could be a factor? 🤔

When it comes to value the Cooper Endeavors are great. I’m looking forward to the day I can replace my Continentals with them.

I have yet to have a complaint about Cooper tires in general. I had Endeavors on my ex wife's Focus and they were great. These ProControls have been awesome, even in a Florida monsoon.
