In freezing weather when the vehicle is left outside I would always pull the wipers up to a vertical (almost) position to keep them from freezing to the glass. Is there a mode for that? or did I miss it?

Is that a Ford option? (kidding) OK, if that is all there is, I will try that. Other vehicles have a mode that extends the wipers so you can easily change the blades and or pull them off the glass in a vertical position. Guess I will sell the truck(NOT)You can have power to the wipers (I think you can do this in accessory mode, no need for engine to be running), turn the wipers on, wait till they are vertical on the windshield, then quickly turn off the ignition/accessory mode. Then you can either leave them on the glass, or hinge them away from the glass.
WARNING: You have to remember to put them back down before you start the car again. Otherwise they will scrape the paint off the edge of your hood. Then CANNOT travel in their normal arc/wipe pattern while pulled away from the glass without impacting the edge of your hood. They will both scrape your paint and probably slam back down onto your glass.
Yeah that's the service position, for changing the wiper blades, as described in the owners manual. Entry level system, no fancy modes on these trucks.OK, if that is all there is, I will try that.

Yes you can lift them up but per this forum they will scratch the paint on the edge of the hood if they turn on when up.In freezing weather when the vehicle is left outside I would always pull the wipers up to a vertical (almost) position to keep them from freezing to the glass. In a slightly related post, I have bought a set of Trico wipers for my truck, as that is the only brand I could find on-line for my truck. The wipers each come with a plastic adapter, and there are only 412 methods for attaching the adapter to the wipers and the wipers to the car. Jeez, I miss 1954.In freezing weather when the vehicle is left outside I would always pull the wipers up to a vertical (almost) position to keep them from freezing to the glass. Just got a 25 and was wondering how to get the wipers up - thanks for the info! The wipers can be moved and rotated out of the way without power they dont lock like and old wiper transmission. . If you use remote start they won't move until you turn the key or hit the start button.
That and lots of other actually useful information is in the owners manual. You can view it in the truck or download the .pdf at ford.comJust got a 25 and was wondering how to get the wipers up - thanks for the info!
