I would have purchased the Ridgeline, if it fit in my garage and if it wasn't several thousand dollars more. I am glad I got the Maverick Hybrid, and am averaging 41mpg. I have a shade over 3000 miles on my 2024 XLT.
I cannot buy pleather (polyurethane) covered seats as I have a sensitivity to any and all fake leathers. I also, like the sport cloth materials used in today's vehicles, It breathes, feels comfortable, and is easy to clean. So the Lariat version is out with me.
Why not look for a new leftover 2024 or a slightly used 2024. With over a half million Mavericks produced, Ford has gotten most of the bugs out. The back up camera recall was fixed in my driveway in about 15 minutes.
A major major reason for the Maverick or SC for me. I could have fit something larger like a Frontier in it, but I would have had to take out my storage shelves. It was hard enough to clear out my garage to make room for my Maverick. Along with my sedan.

Some background - I've owned 40 vehicles, possibly more. They've been everything from Porsche and Mercedes to Toyota and Honda and basically everything between. Lexus, Genesis, Acura, the list goes on.. currently sitting with a Tesla 3 Performance and this XLT Hybrid.

The Maverick would be in the top 3 for me if I had to rank my favorites. The only thing I will say is that I owned a 2022 Lariat Luxury hybrid, and I find the Lariat to be - by far - the least compelling trim and that was when they were barely over $30k. The Maverick is at its most charming when it is at its cheapest.

Asking
Scott "Steeleye",

I don't want to be rude.
Would you mind sharing, how much the cost of installing the sliding window was?
Thank you,
GB
Not at all! I got it from these folks for $403 including shipping and had it installed in my driveway for $320. I kept the original glass as a backup.

The listing says for 2022-2024 models, but I spoke to the owner of the company and he assured me that it would fit the 2025. It does!

Buy it, you'll love it. Picked up my 2024 Lariat EB back in September and it now has over 13,000 miles. My 1st truck as I have been an SUV guy since 1988. Was a Bronco II which I kept till Ford came out with the Escape in 2001. I have had no issues, though I think my truck qualifies for the latest recall (bag light recall). On the parasitic drain, 99% of those with that issue are hybrids. If you don't drive the hybrid enough it is going to happen with the current charging set up from Ford. I had the low battery message for the 1st time last week, just a few days after having an oil change at the dealer. If it happens again, will have the dealer check out the battery.
I recently performed the provided SSM that ford released a few weeks ago on a customer's hybrid. It involved reprogramming the Air Conditioning Control Module (ACCM) So far, so good. By the way, if the dealer tests the battery (on any vehicle), and it passes, Ask them to also perform a battery monitor reset. I've seen that step alone fix some low battery messages.

I have a 2025 Lariat that just turned over 6,000 miles. Absolutely no issues. Averaging just over 41 mpg combined highway and city driving.
I bought mine on May 9. I already have almost 6000 miles on it. Part of it is the 90 mile round trip to and from work daily along with a couple of trips to church and other errands. But a good portion is just unnecessary riding because I can afford to since the fuel economy is so good.

My 2025 Maverick Hybrid 4k row & AWD has had zero issues and overall 42.5 MPG. Now has 4,800 miles and I totally enjoy this truck. I had F350 DRW and many F150-s , would buy a Maverick again.
We have a customer with a 2022 F350 dually . But he also has a Maverick. He's very picky. He had something done to the rear differential. (I think it was simply a fluid change and a tube to prevent water intrusion. ) But mostly he brings it in for oil changes. He brings the f350 in for repairs more than the Maverick.

I Love My 2025 AWD XLT with the 2.0 EB but the Brake Pedal makes Noise when You Push down on it and let off of it at about 1,200 miles. Some other guys mentioned the same Noise anyone else hear it on their Mavericks?

Are you happy with the purchase? Would you get one again? Would you recommend it to your friends and family? Are the stock speakers THAT bad? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
I drive a 2024 xl mavrick hybrid. It's a fleet vehicle. I will just say we don't try to be all electric or anything we just throw tools and parts in and go. I have received one recall for it for the rear camera and or display . I haven't had it done yet. If it isn't giving me a problem I'm not taking it. I like driving it.it really seems reliable so far . Driving this one as a fleet made me want to have one as a personal vehicle. So I am to researching and learning from you guys and other sources. Thanks

I almost bought a Maverick about a month or so ago to replace my 2004 Ranger (handing it down to my kid, what a champ the Ranger's been) when, on the way to the dealer, I received a call that a Stop Sale had been implemented and my wife and I had to turn around and go home empty-handed (I had already driven one previously but hated the stock interior). After sitting on it for a week, I decided to just go ahead and order one from a dealer closer to me with everything I wanted and nothing I didn't (Eruption Green XLT, Ecoboost, Black Appearance Package, Luxury Package, Spray-In Liner). Got the employee pricing, so we're sitting at $34,500 (this includes delivery/destination) plus registration, doc fee, etc. Since then, all I've had time to do is more research. Here, Reddit, YouTube, etc. The Maverick looks like everything I want, but the constant recalls and issues- leaks, battery drain, CLIPS even, etc. - have me a bit spooked as the build date (week of 6/30) grows ever closer. I have a whole checklist of things to look over and test when the truck is delivered, but that will only tell me so much and can't cover everything. You all have so much knowledge and experience. Are you happy with the purchase? Would you get one again? Would you recommend it to your friends and family? Are the stock speakers THAT bad? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
I bought a 2023 Lariat Hybrid and loved it, but I wanted the AWD and 4K tow package. I just traded it in for a 2025 Lariat Hybrid and I am very happy with my decision.

Damn, now I'm suspicious, it has been "awarded" cars that have been giving me the most grief this century.
No complaints about either of my Mavericks.

Over the years I've had several small trucks. `81 Nissan King Cab 5 speed; '95 Chevy S10 HO V6 standard cab 4wd; '06 GMC Canyon Xcab 4 cyl; '16 GMC Canyon Xcab V6; '22 Mav Lariat EB while I waited for my '24 Mav Lariat hybrid. The hybrid is my favorite, does everything I need while getting 45 mpg. Except for the deep sleep - lights not coming on - it is a joy to drive. I have driven it 12k miles, no regrets. I don't think I will keep it past the 3/36 warranty, If the world is still spinning in 2027 I will buy a new one to avoid potential maintenance issues.
