just follow thru and buy it i've had my 22 xl for 3 years and 28k makes and no probls..buy it and move on
THIS is the PERFECT comment to sum it all up. Get the Maverick! It's not a perfect vehicle. But it's a great, dependable vehicle in either Ecoboost or hybrid form . Ecoboost for extra power. Hybrid for fuel economy. EITHER for actual use Especially since both can now be equipped with AWD and 4k towing

I almost bought a Maverick about a month or so ago to replace my 2004 Ranger (handing it down to my kid, what a champ the Ranger's been) when, on the way to the dealer, I received a call that a Stop Sale had been implemented and my wife and I had to turn around and go home empty-handed (I had already driven one previously but hated the stock interior). After sitting on it for a week, I decided to just go ahead and order one from a dealer closer to me with everything I wanted and nothing I didn't (Eruption Green XLT, Ecoboost, Black Appearance Package, Luxury Package, Spray-In Liner). Got the employee pricing, so we're sitting at $34,500 (this includes delivery/destination) plus registration, doc fee, etc. Since then, all I've had time to do is more research. Here, Reddit, YouTube, etc. The Maverick looks like everything I want, but the constant recalls and issues- leaks, battery drain, CLIPS even, etc. - have me a bit spooked as the build date (week of 6/30) grows ever closer. I have a whole checklist of things to look over and test when the truck is delivered, but that will only tell me so much and can't cover everything. You all have so much knowledge and experience. Are you happy with the purchase? Would you get one again? Would you recommend it to your friends and family? Are the stock speakers THAT bad? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
I ordered my 23 XL in Sept 22, received Feb 23, and I love this truck.
Bought in BC, Canada, moved to AB, Canada; I’ve got 66k kms on it, have taken it on multiple 10hr plus continuous drives, driven it through the worst of winters, and it had never ceased to impress or satisfy me. So happy with this little truck. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned.

Buy it, you'll love it. Picked up my 2024 Lariat EB back in September and it now has over 13,000 miles. My 1st truck as I have been an SUV guy since 1988. Was a Bronco II which I kept till Ford came out with the Escape in 2001. I have had no issues, though I think my truck qualifies for the latest recall (bag light recall). On the parasitic drain, 99% of those with that issue are hybrids. If you don't drive the hybrid enough it is going to happen with the current charging set up from Ford. I had the low battery message for the 1st time last week, just a few days after having an oil change at the dealer. If it happens again, will have the dealer check out the battery.

i have 27,000 miles on my maverick really enjoying it but it rides like a truck it’s not as smooth as the Ranger or F-150. The interior noise from the cheap plastic interior comes and goes with the cold and hot weather. It’s a hybrid with 2 wheel drive and just got 478 miles on my last fuel up.

I have a 2025 Lariat that just turned over 6,000 miles. Absolutely no issues. Averaging just over 41 mpg combined highway and city driving.

I bought mine in April. I drive a lot for work and already have 8000 miles on it. No issues at all. Love my Tonka Toy!

I would have purchased the Ridgeline, if it fit in my garage and if it wasn't several thousand dollars more. I am glad I got the Maverick Hybrid, and am averaging 41mpg. I have a shade over 3000 miles on my 2024 XLT.
I cannot buy pleather (polyurethane) covered seats as I have a sensitivity to any and all fake leathers. I also, like the sport cloth materials used in today's vehicles, It breathes, feels comfortable, and is easy to clean. So the Lariat version is out with me.
Why not look for a new leftover 2024 or a slightly used 2024. With over a half million Mavericks produced, Ford has gotten most of the bugs out. The back up camera recall was fixed in my driveway in about 15 minutes.

I have racked up 3000 miles now on my AWD hybrid XLT with luxury and 4K tow packages, including a couple of long road trips, and I love this, my last vehicle, more than ever, especially after some upgrades (replacement of back window with an aftermarket one that has a manual slider, ceramic coating, fluid film undercoating, underseat vault in back, tinting driver and passenger side windows, dividers in glove box and center console, small trash can with cupholders in back, inserts in all door cubbies, weathertech floor mats, and rubber mat on bed floor). It’s comfortable, quiet, stable and extremely versatile. My ongoing quibbles are minimal, like water leakage in the bed from the gap in the two plastic trim pieces near the cab (need to fix with weather stripping) and my having to manually reselect the eco drive mode every time I start her up. Even the stock sound system is better than most previous cars I have owned, but I don’t turn the volume up past 8-10. Having driven a manual 2002 Jeep Wrangler for 20 years prior to this vehicle, the differences are stark in terms of ease and comfort, although I have had to learn how to negotiate a much larger vehicle in tight spaces and turns.

Hang in there! I was kinda in this exact boat. My 2025 lariat hybrid should arrive anyday. I found this thread and others on YouTube I think I watched every single video including the one when the Santa Cruz broke down. I’ve been very reassured reading on this site and more. Time will tell! And good luck to you. I know I can’t wait to get mine 😊.

I have a 2024 XLT Ionic Silver hybrid with lux pack, 360, trailer pack, soft cover tonneau, pretty well decked out. Fifteen months old 13,800 miles, no issues, no problems, no recalls done. Very happy. I get city mileage in the middle 40's highway 35-37 at 80+ mph.

I think you have just had way too much time to think about it. I have the same model and accessories as yours yours and I love it! What else are you going to get with the bang for the buck and so much fun to drive with great gas mileage?

Asking
Scott "Steeleye",

I don't want to be rude.
Would you mind sharing, how much the cost of installing the sliding window was?
Thank you,
GB

I never recommend anything to an undecided person because it may become my fault if they buy it and are not satisfied. Some people are prone to post purchase dissonance, and I don't want any part of that.
