Was caught in a Dust/Sand storm in AZ or NM.
Slid into back of truck. He was deciding to stay or go...
Got out of the truck and ran for the shoulder and a 2nd Semi created what you see here.. Talk about split second decisions...

Yeah the other party admitted what happened so her insurance is taking care of it. Ive got police and fire department reports so its all good.

They total it, deduct the salvage value, you get a check and keep the vehicle. Drive it as long as you want, then sell it with a salvage title. Ibdid this with our dodge caravan after hitting a deer. Drove it 5 years after it was totaled and recently sold it.

you have to have the vehicle repaired and get a inhanced inspection to get a recontructed title. That's the only way you can legally drive it.

We did not have to Do that in Michigan .we drove it damaged for over 5 years.

speaking from my experience as an attorney, and not giving legal advice . . .

It may be worth keeping your own insurance involved--particularly if the other company is one of the low-end, sketchy places. They get it fixed, and collect from the other company. This also has the advantage of your company, rather than the other, setting the value.

Also, if there's an injury case going on, as an attorney I've found that I'm really just in the way if I get involved with the vehicle valuation (again, there are exceptions, and this assumes that you have a "good" company on your side.

That's the only way you can legally drive it.
