Sadly, there comes a time for all of us.
This is a situation that happened to me back in May with a elderly lady who drove off the track and then wanted to get out of her car.

And then there's this one who decided to do 60 miles an hour through the car wash.
This was a 95y.o. driver.



This is a 77y.o.

What is remarkable, is that the passenger compartment appears intact after being hit on both ends diagonally...

I doubt the passengers even needed band-aids if they wore their seat belts.

For the OP, if only the truck had the fully automatic laser cannon option installed....

It will probably take longer than a non-Ford collision shop but I want it done right.

Dealership affiliation doesn't have a bearing on the quality of work, or whether they can use OEM parts or not. But that being said, I got my old Honda repaired at a GM dealership because their body shop was highly-rated.

Keep in mind that the specific body shop will warranty the repairs, not Ford. So if you have a problem with the repair, you'd need to return to that body shop and not a Ford dealer. Hence why going to a nationwide body shop chain like Caliber might be helpful if you might move before selling the Maverick.

I'm an awful lot more mindful of people who just got their license than someone who has been driving for over 60 years. It shows in the insurance rates as well as accident rates.
