No glare issues whatsoever for me. My windows/tint are stock and I don't have any kind of screen protector or film installed. Apparently the lariat's screen may be brighter overall than other trims though, so that may help

If I understand correctly, the protector is the correct size without any modifications?I bought the Panda Motorworks screen protector and so far am not impressed. It will help with fingerprints but it just introduces a different kind of glare. Without it I could see reflections but could still read the screen; with it there is a matte haze over the screen that makes it difficult to read. By the way, if you do buy one, be aware that the protector is kiss cut, you can’t see it easily and I thought the protector was oversized and cut it down - when I peeled it off I discovered the die cut lines. I made it work, but be forewarned.
Yes, it is an issue on sunny days. Hard to see with the glare on it. I was wondering if I were the only one that was having this problem. The recent infotainment screen protector thread caused me to think of a possible glare issue.
I've seen in a few reviews (of the many I've read) where the it was mentioned the screen fades in bright sunlight due to being completely horizontal.
I test drove an XLT on a cloudy, rainy day prior to ordering mine so was unable to see any potential glare issue.
So, for anyone who has received their Mav:
- Is glare an issue on sunny days?
- If so, has anyone found a screen protector that reduces the glare issue?
I guess the waiting period for my Hybrid is beginning to get to me. This is a monor issue (if it exists) but just wondering.
I have the same one. No complaints.I placed this on my screen and have been happy with the results. I don't have much to compare to, because I installed it the day I got my truck. That said, I funny notice fingerprints.
Also, it took me a little to figure this out, but the screen brightness is linked to the dial brightness, so if you adjust the dial brightness down, the screen goes with it.

Not sure because I botched it.If I understand correctly, the protector is the correct size without any modifications?

Not for me. I have had zero problems with glare on this screen unlike my wife's 18 Nissan Rogue which is nothing but glare. I believe that having the screen mounted vertically instead of an angle makes all the difference. The recent infotainment screen protector thread caused me to think of a possible glare issue.

Agreed. At first I thought the vertical profile was odd, but that's exactly it, little/no glare. My Pilot is on a ~20 or so degree angle, and in certain conditions it's unreadable. Not for me. Same here with the tint on the two front windows and no noticeable glare.I don't really have any issues with glare. Fingerprints are somewhat visible, but even that isn't too bad. I do have the 2 front windows tinted to match the rear though
I am going to install a glass screen protector to it. It's going to make it shiny. I have no glare problem with it now, if it ends up with a bit of glare, I will make a glare shield and attach it to the frame around the screen. Unless somebody comes up with that first and I can just buy it off amazon or evilbay.Same here with the tint on the two front windows and no noticeable glare.
