I've noticed something interesting since there are times that the base infotainmemt screen isn't bright enough and I usually check to see where the brightness scale is when this happens.
The scale can be at 100%, but if I tap it back one and up one it actually gets brighter than it did previously at 100%. It will hold at this level until you shut down the system and then when you restart the vehicle you can do the same thing again And it holds for the trip. I don't know if it's something they did to preserve the longevity of the screen or it's a glitch.. but if you just wanted the screen a bit brighter, this works for me. I've driven sister products like the Escape, (super bright) and I'm guessing the upgrade sync. 3 probably has a better screen in the Maverick. But I just thought it was interesting if anyone else was able to do the same sequence of events.
