I got the FX4 package basically because I loved the wheels. And it came with the bigger screen and the tow hooks break up the front lower fascia. Can't go wrong with the heavy duty radiator either. I actually took off the FX4 decals. To your point the FORScan can be used to unlock the eco and sport drive modes. Love it
Mark, what did you use to take off the stickers? Was there any issue with the paint shine or finish after? I think the Mav looks better without them.

It's cheap for the wheels alone. I wanted the bigger screen, front tow hooks and wheels. You actually can't add the tow hooks aftermarket because the frame element they attach to doesn't exist if you don't have FX4. Tires could be better - it should have included the falkens but they're adequate. At the time I didn't realize it would sacrifice eco and sport, both of which I want, but I'll live.

The monotube shocks don't effect payload do they? I understand the added weight of the skid plates and tow hooks can a bit

For $800, it's a pretty good value. True it's not really a major off road upgrade. Maybe they should call something else. But tow hooks, skid plates, and the radiator upgrades are peace of mind on ranch roads in Texas (and for anyone who hits any sort of unpaved road in hot climate). Upgraded screen and the tow hitch are just useful. That's a lot of upgrade for $800. Think of it for what it is, not what it could have been (and likely for a lot more money). Very few people buying a Maverick will need a locking differential, dual clutch, or the other things a real rock crawler has. Just some confidence to adventure off the pavement here and there.

Hey James, Literally... My fingernail! Just did it yesterday. The sun, (and 92F), was out plus had the truck in the driveway. So the body was hot. I had my heat gun ready but I pulled a corner loose and they came right off. Can't even tell they were there. Nothing happened to the paint.
If I was going lift it and make it kinda an off road truck they'd be fine. But I'm actually going to lower it when someone makes a kit. Good luck if you decide to remove them.

With the Maverick AWD only getting 3-5 mpg more than the 4WD Ranger, what it the draw? (And the Ranger gets only 2 mpg more than the F150 4WD).

A Ranger 4x4 starts about $8300 more than a Maverick and an F-150 over $41k. Between the Maverick and the Ranger that's the equivalent savings over 100k mi @ $4/gal as if the Maverick AWD got 56 MPG.

The Maverick AWD doesn't get 56 mpg? But I have been seeing people claim low to mid 30s.

The $8300 (not including tax) delta between the Ranger and Maverick is approximately equivalent 2075 gallons of fuel.

There are only three kinds of people in this world- those that are good at math and those that aren't. Guess which kind I am.

Also, gas is around $6 where I live and I'd expect the car to last at least 150,000, but I'll let you do the math.

I get your point, though.

Thanks for the tip Mark! I want FX4 for the skid plates and larger driver's screen but the stickers on that low profile truck look silly to me.

This video has an AWD next to a Jeep which does not have stickers on it. There are no stickers on a Subaru or most other AWD vehicles. I see no reason for them.

You're very welcome. Nice vid. Here's a pic of mine sans stickers. Yeah the larger screen and skid plates are nice but I really love the wheels.
