My last Blackstone oil analysis on an oil change at slightly over 12k mile interval showed fuel dilution at 1%. The "should be" value was <2%.

I thought fuel dilution was more of an ecoboost thing... (?)

The original study is almost pointless. No mileage intervals were listed! Some old school guys change oil way more often then recommended and I know others that won't change oil until the oil service light illuminates and some will ignore that light for months more.

I have done Blackstone reports on a Hybrid Escape and my Maverick.

Always in spec at 10k and 15k.

IT IS NOT A HYBRID THING.
At least not a NA Atkinson Engine thing.

The bottom of page 5 says there is

NO EVIDENCE OF FUEL DILUTION CAUSING PREMATURE WEAR AND ENGINE FAILURES IN HYBRIDS.
