Not only do I not use it, I don't own a mobile phone to use it on!
Oh the social media repercussions are vibrating so loud from this it is deafening.
Sometimes I wish phones still hung on the wall and didn't have voice mail.

I agree on the voice mail. But not having to get up and run to the kitchen when the phone rings........? That is kinda convenient, so I think I'll keep my cell phone. :)

Don't get me wrong, I love tech things. I am currently looking at 3, year three cell phones on the table next to me. One for work, one for personal stuff and one that is old for controlling apps around the house.

It just seems that with all the tech comes stress, overblown reactions to weird stuff and a life that refuses to stop and smell the roses. And I love the smell of roses. Way better than burning plastic.

Besides not ever having owned a mobile phone, I pulled the plug on Television in 1995 and went TV-free until 2015, when my girlfriend bought me the Apple TV device. I replaced my television then, but haven't had any "normal" network TV or cable since 1995.

You cannot appreciate the influence that TV has on the American public until you spend twenty years without it. And not having a cell phone is wonderful, except for the occasional time when it's an inconvenience for other folks that I don't have one.

My only phone, circa 1972:

No the Ford Pass is not necessary for me.

It is spyware, which I try to avoid from any vendor.

The dealer tells me they can apply points through their system when I get an oil change. This has not actually happened yet, but the dealer has been honest with me so far. They got my August 21 Hybrid order built, with SIBL and mud flaps, so they have significant credibility.

I use the remote start schedules. Nice not having to remember to start it on cold mornings

Ahh! I remember well when I had 9 phones with long cords and I had one within reach all the time and an answer machine to filter the calls. FYI I have cell phone now with voice mail NOW to filter calls NOT In phone book = "I'm not available leave a message thank you"!🥰

FordPass is necessary for my family. I used the remote start multiple times during the cold snap. It's the only way I've figured out to see the TPMS pressures. And my wife likes that she can use the geolocate feature to make sure I'm not visiting one of my imperial concubines.

My personal recent experience with this : I refuse to load apps on my phone, and created a Ford Pass account on-line. Had "The Works " service done at local Ford Dealer and several months later something like 89 Rewards points showed up in my account. After buying my Maverick in November 2022 I got many emails from Ford reminding me to Download the app to take advantage of all remote features I will never use.... And to receive my 42000 Reward points for buying the truck. There's smaller disclaimers tucked in a few places in paperwork advising you must activate app and on board modem and leave modem active for 6 months to receive your points. I caved in to the pressure and got my points and used but will delete app after 6 months is over.

I use the app to view those fordpass rewards, pay my loan, GPS location, check oil life, check tire pressure, scheduled oil change at my dealer.

ill use it in the future for service history, future maintenance schedule, owner's manual probably

Anyone using a 12v smart battery tender? On hybrid?
..
Every once in awhile I hook up my CTEK MXS 5.0 on to the underhood charging posts. Otherwise, I use it on my motorcycle 99% of the time.

I also have another one that I use on my zero turn mower. I like the CTEK products.
