Something to keep in mind: Ford requires the 360 package (and Lariat Lux) in order to request the 360 Assist package. With the below commodity rating in mind, Ford is predicting 26% of Trucks will be Lariat with ~77% of those opting for 360 Assist package. Since you have to have both packages on the Lariat to have 360 Assist, my thinking is the actual constraint on the 360 package will be much lower on the XL and XLT trims. By Ford's reasoning, at least half of all 360 packages will be on Lariats because they required that to be the case.

I admit I could be reading this wrong, but it is something worth chewing on.

I think Ford is making a huge mistake by doing this, to get all the safety feature, you MUST buy the top of line.. Honda got it right and make their safety suites standard on all models.

Commodity shortage. Ford also had parking lots of trucks waiting for chips not being able to sold very recently. I think this is just a reaction to that. Better to limit the production and ensure it gets out the door than be caught stuck with unsellable inventory again.

Yeah. They do. Page 2....

FORD CO-PILOT360™ TECHNOLOGY
â—Ź Auto LED High-Beam
â—Ź Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) (Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Dynamic Brake Support)
â—Ź Rear View Camera

Those are the standard features all Mavericks have.

Doesn't matter, the OP was reading too much into what he was seeing, but after 3 hours of explaining it to the OP, he finally got it.

To understand the purpose of this thread, please make (probably you already have) sure to view the attached. Page 2. Standard Equipment. 2nd Column. Rear camera is listed under Copilot,. Next see Page 3. Equipment Groups. Note under CoPilot that rear camera is not listed. Not remembering that rear cameras are mandated it simply made me wonder why Ford chose to list it this way. My title for the thread was not a good choice. It should have been something to the effect of: "Did Ford Move Rear Camera to a Package?"

As always, be aware of certain forum trolls.

I work at a dealership...I order the stock vehicles. I am very familiar with the order guides!

Ford changes their terminology for all this Ford Co-Pilot a lot.
Pg 2 shows equip standard to all Mavericks. "FORD CO-PILOT360™ TECHNOLOGY":
â—Ź Auto LED High-Beam
â—Ź Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) (Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, Dynamic Brake Support)
â—Ź Rear View Camera

This wouldn't be listed under equipment groups, because on the previous page we are told that it is standard on all Mavericks.

In addition to this, there is the optional Ford Co-Pilot360 Pkg (86B) which includes:
● BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert
â—Ź Full-Size Spare std w/ 2.5L Hybrid Engine (993)
â—Ź Lane-Keeping System (Lane-Keeping Aid, Lane-Keeping Alert and Driver Alert

They are two separate things. Yes, Ford should have perhaps called them something different...but it is what it is.

The auto high-beam, pre-collision assist and rear camera are standard on Maverick. When anyway talks about the Co-Pilot360 package/option, they are talking about the BLIS and lane-keeping, which is an option that you have to pay for.

See also: post #9 in this thread. The order guide is not particularly confusing, other than the Co-Pilot360 branding being used for all these safety features.

1) There are standard CP360 features (auto LED high-beam, pre-collision assist with AEB, and the federally mandated rear view camera). As this is is mentioned as standard equipment on XL and carries forward, all of these features are included on every single US-spec Maverick to roll off the production line, no extra charge, no leaving them out.

2) There is an add-on package for more CP360 features that can be added to any Maverick (BLIS and Lane-Keeping System). XL, XLT, or Lariat can add these features for $650. Lariat Luxury Package requires you to buy this package as well.

3) Finally, on a Maverick Lariat with Luxury Package, there is a CP360 Assist package to add adaptive cruise, evasive steering assist, and rear parking (backup) sensors. Lariat Luxury Package requires the first CP360 add-on package above (2), with the option of adding these (3) features for $750. These features used to be included in the Lariat Luxury Package for MY 2022, but were extracted out as an optional package, likely due to ongoing chip shortages to support these added features.

Maverick XL, XLT, and Lariat can add the $650 package (2).

Maverick Lariat with Luxury Package requires the $650 package (2) and can add the $750 package (3).

This was told to the OP, but why does Ford (I know you cant answer this) place under standard equipment Co-Pilot360. They just need to list it as Safety features. Not sure why the OP thinks those who pointed out them that "other" Co_pilot 360 is package, and that Rear view camera's are standard on all cars sold in the US.

I agree that it is confusing!

Ford started calling all of those safety-type features Ford Co-Pilot. Then there was Co-Pilot 360, Assist, Assist+, Assist+2 to the 7th degree....etc.
The labels don't mean that much any more...because the packages aren't identical over vehicle lines anyway.

If I were in charge, I would have chosen more clear terminology, that would help us all out!

Modern safety tech is all under the Co-Pilot360™ branding, with various different packages available to add additional features depending on the model and trim level.

Per the order guide, standard Co-Pilot360™ features include:

All trims can add:

Lariat with Luxury Package can add:

Can 360 assist be added later if they forgot to click the box for assist but you have 360? I got screwed. Told dealer I wanted every option and 360 assist wasn't checked. Didn't even know there were tow different 360s when I ordered and neither did they
