I've owned Colorados and Tacomas as well as my Maverick. My 2017 Tacoma scratched easiest by far. Note: Plastic is a soft material, prone to scratches. Scratches (poop) happens. On another note, the seat seams on my 2015 Colorado split after 4 years.

A nicer interior would probably break my heart when it got scuffed and scratched.
I've long thought that you should be able to order with option "S001. first scratch applied at factory" so that you don't have to worry about it happening!

I’ve noticed the plastic on dashboard and console area scratches SOOOOO easily. Literally a light graze with a nail with hardly any pressure will scratch it.

I guess I can accept this since I got an XL base model. But do they also use cheap soft plastic on the Lariats and Lobos? Can anyone confirm this?
I had a $135,000 Porsche 911 4S with the ā€œexpanded leather interior packageā€. One time when driving, during the first weeks of ownership, I was reaching for something, a knob I think, and accidentally ran my thumb straight into the dash. My thumbnail completely cut through the grain of the top grain leather and cut into the corium, or suede part of the leather, exposing a 1/2ā€ long slit of suede bleeding out of my dash. I could never get that piece to lay back down, so I trimmed it off. My dash was permanently marred.

Meanwhile, I've owned my Maverick for 9 months and the interior is absolutely pristine, just like it came off of the showroom floor, primarily because I am careful with it.

I personally like the upscale look and feel of the soft plastic that the Maverick uses. Sure, hard plastics are more durable, but it also screams of 1990’s American econoboxes. Hard plastics look cheap and dated from the day the car rolls off of the assembly line.

After owning cars from mustangs to rangers to range rovers to R8’s, I’m extremely happy with the Maverick interior.

Don't worry folks The plastics are the same regardless of Ford models. I've had a $60,000 F-150, rode in a $90,000 raptor, they all scratch it's just cheap plastic. The 25 Mavericks use the same interior plastic, it all scratches easily.

I laugh at the poster who says is 25 is more resilient than his 22.

You can't mate equine with bovine and yet you did. 😱
I have a friend who gave up a GT 500 to Gert a $100k lucid.

He went to a friends house to help with something, and stuck a screwdriver in his back pocket as they finished.

He then st in the Rivian.

He managed to find a local shop that was able to patch it so well that you couldn't tell!
