Yes and no. It's being used right up to its design power spec.

Generally pretty good as long as it's not abused and fluid gets changed regularly, which varies depending on type of use it's employed in.
I appreciate the response. I was torn between a hybrid and the Tremor I purchased. Living in the NE, I needed AWD. I was also torn on waiting on a 25 Hybrid. Now I wonder.

I see some listings near me and wondering,
Is a used maverick above 80k miles worth it ?

Am taking about AWD Ecoboost (not hybrids)
I mean, it's still a small engine. For most of the family cars it's a hard pass. Is it worth it for a maverick ?
Well, like everything, it depends what you pay for it. What the condition is. How they used it and what you think they used it for.

1) Have a good mechanic look it over. One who is not a GM idiot. Get the vehicle history from the dealer.
2) Get a Carfax report showing no accidents.
3) Its obviously had a lot of highway miles on it. That's a good sign.
The 2.0 Ecoboost is a very good engine, in use since 2013 with few problems. Its a small modification to a 20-year-old Mazda design that powers most Mazdas, Fords, Volvo's and a couple of other manufacturers today.
4) Is it lifted? If so, pass on it. There are no lift kits out there that are nice to the axles.
5) Get the CV joints checked. You have no idea how aggressive the previous driver was, and they are the weak spot.
6) If there a receipts showing that they used TopTier fuel and the correct Ford-spec oil, no worries. Otherwise get the intake valve carbon buildup checked. If its carboned up from using cheap fuel and oil, pass on the truck.
7) Ignore the comments from people who put catch-cans on an engine that already has one built in, or want you to add shocktower braces, etc. They have no clue what they are talking about. Its not a race-only vehicle.
8) The 8F35 transmission is at its maximum spec with this engine, so if it was driven by a nutbar then it will need an oilchange at a minimum. Its probably a good idea anyways for peace of mind, as well as the rear diff fluid. This transmission is shared with several GM models with some small modifications.
9) Have all the recalls been done? Some of them are critical. Most areas will not allow you to transfer the vehicle certified unless all recalls are complete.
10) Does it have the door keycode buttons? If so, get the code card.

Here is an example reference for my question. I would not buy it at that price for sure.

It looks like not worth(unless the price is less than $15k)

Thanks all for your inputs
Even at current pricing that is a $30k vehicle.

At 80k miles I would postulate that half it's useful life is used up, beyond 150k and big things start to happen.

I agree $15k would be about my top limit for that one, but used car pricing hasn't made sense since 2019 so that is why we all bought new.

I check Kelly's Blue Book value using the VIN and their local zip code...$21,900....so the seller's price is not too far off.

Geez I thought the MSRP was lower in 2022. I really hosed the dealer in 2023.

Really a pointless question without a lot more details. A 100K mile truck that was babied would likely be a better buy than a 15K truck that was abused.

I paid less than that for my XLT hybrid new in '22. Currently at 66K miles on it.

Edit:

5,000 mile oil changes. Religious maintenance. Every time it is touched, for any reason, the records are kept.
