So I have an EB and have never experienced all this sleep and battery crap. Seems a bit complicated to a simple person such as myself.

Thinking simply, is it possible that the OP hit the control towards the icon on the overhead panel and has selected the option for no overhead lights. Just sayin............
There's a control there!?

I just went out to check that no that wasn't turned off and that would just be the overhead two lights anyway.
But now all the interior lights come on when I open the door.
They weren't yesterday.
Well if this intermediate problem is my biggest concern right now I'm doing pretty good.

Accessory key position you mentioned headlights were strong on.

You might help the situation a bit by causing Deep Sleep Mode to conserve a touch of battery, by disabling the modem that sends a report up to Ford's servers upon each turnoff.

Pull fuse 11 under the glove box.

The modem pings hourly to keep the network connection up - so truck can be reached remotely by Ford and by the Fordpass app - which you aren't using anyway.
It uses about 25 mA of power, so not much.
But it adds a process that could go haywire, especially if you have really bad/no ATT wireless signal where truck parks, and haywire could cause more drain that is not helping matters.
Poor answer IMO. I was notified in the middle of the night last night by FordPass app notification that the driver's side front tire had dropped down to 15Psi. It was good we were notified before my wife left out this morning so we could swap who was taking what vehicle. It was a screw in the center of the tread area. Was easy fix for tire shop. Without FordPass app and communications active we wouldn't have been alerted to the tire issue in advance. Some of us want the features we paid for to get with our Lariat Lux model. We don't plan on disabling those features just because Ford is incompetent in solving the problem they ad it exists and one they have said they will solve.

I agree with your sentiment of keeping the features you paid for.
But I wonder how people knew they had a low tire in the hundred years before the tire pressure monitoring system.

Actually - it should control front & back lights - all on or all off. Or flat for location control.

Since the lights are system controlled (in case you leave one on - it will time out) - that rocker switch is too.
It could be in the ON position for all lights - but the system turned it off eventually.
Which means a computer is involved - and with that confusion & glitches.

If you moved it, may have helped reset something.

Switching All of the Interior Lamps On and Off

The lamps turn on under the following conditions:
  • You open any door.
  • You press a button on the remote control.
  • You press the all lamps on button on the overhead console.
Ford Maverick Interior lights not coming on when entering {filename}
Press the button on the overhead console to switch all interior lamps on or off.

Good answer for someone that specifically said they don't use it already.
Or the drivers that know they don't have ATT signal and it can't work anyway.
Or concerned with data privacy and want no communication from truck.

But I do like using it, and received one of those alerts too - filled it up that night in the hopes it would make it until morning - it did enough, for another fillup, and getting to a flat spot not my driveway or street, to do the swap. Mine was a bolt - tire replaced under warranty dealer provided for free.
And if my remote ability was getting cut off - I'd be constantly bothering the dealer too.
About the undercharged battery issue that Ford hasn't acknowledged yet - I'd make them write that issue in work order in fact!

Same issue; cabin lights occasionally work when entering. Had the Ford replace the axles last month (went bad on a 2023 XLT with 57K...brutal), Cabin lights have not worked since this service...it sucks!
sre you sure they are switched on?

So to be clear, you're talking about that rocker switch overhead in the middle by rge glasses holder?
Messing with that can affect whether the other interior lights come on or not when you open the door?
Apparently that's what I did

I have bought vehicles from our only Ford dealership in our city for 33 years. They know me on a first name basis and trust me, they have documented each time I have had it there for another new battery and having the SSM updates done. They are as frustrated with Ford as I am. They have had dozens of hybrid Maverick owners with this problem and each time the recently replaced battery has failed because of chronic undercharging and deep discharging.

Yes, thats the switch that came to mind. I had the same issue and the owners manual could not tell me where the switch was I finally stumbled on it to get mine to work.

OK my problem has been fixed.
I did just recently mess with that switch that I never touched before. that's why my interior lights weren't coming on when I entered the vehicle.
this is completely separate from the other problem you guys are talking about.
Fortunately I haven't experienced that - low battery not charging correctly computer spazzing out over it deep sleep or whatever.
That seems to be actually more of a common problem.
My problem was reverese - zebra hoofs and everyone was telling me it was horse hoofs.

Sometimes it pays to think "Simple"! Of course, your simple problem brought on about the 200th discussion on sleep mode and hybrid battery problems. :sneaky::yawn:

So I have the issue of interior lights not co.ing on, it is a serious issue for me especially at night in a dark parking lot. My switches are where they should be, my battery seems fine. Dealer wants $240 just to bring in ti look. I am out of 3 year warranty. What to do???

Get/borrow/find a multi-meter and confirm your battery "seems fine" some morning.
Measure the volts across the battery posts.

So the battery saver functions are likely to work to keep your truck starting just fine - you just won't get any lights. Which is of course not desired.
Solution will be a new battery

Check out the AGM style H4 batteries.
Databases will say it is NOT compatible with pre-25MY trucks - because that's not OEM spec.
It is correct though, drop in ready - it's what the 25MY has in them.
Think about where you are buying it.
Buy one for cheapness.
Buy one for ease of dealing with battery warranty if it comes up.
Buy one for them replacing it if you don't want to.

Then crack out your manual, or online - and read what to do next under Maintenance - Battery.

Okay here is what worked for me. I have a 24 XL Hybrid. Same issue, interior lights not coming on when I opened the door. I went to the dealer with the problem, they said they never heard of this problem (no surprise there). They wanted me to leave it for a "full diagnostic". I wouldn't be able to wait they'd need it overnight. I asked if disabling all connectivity settings might help. The service guy said "no way". I then had a suspicion that this was the answer. I tested the battery, it was fine.
I disabled all the infotainment screen connectivity settings. I reset the BMS (very simple) and now all is perfect. I really didn't want or use their connectivity stuff so no problem disabling these useless things. Try this and use your car for transportation and not as a mobile pc. You may be pleasantly surprised.
Temporary fix, it just takes longer for the battery to get into battery saver mode. Another step is to pull fuse 11 and disable the LTE cellular modem that sends data to Ford and local Ford dealerships.
