You can edit videos on Youtube. It will be compressed by default, then just trim the segments before and after what you want to keep. I use Insta360 Studio because I have one of their cameras.
A guy at work had a semi tire come off and hit his car a few years ago. It totaled the vehicle and actually injured him, including breaking some teeth. Those loose tires are no joke.

Reminds me of an incident about 20 ago. I was riding my Harley on the freeway when a washing machine fell off a truck hauling a dumpster full of scrap metal
. Luckily I was able to evade it.

I actually won this G900 TriPro WolfBox Dash Cam from a promotional contest WolfBox sponsored in this MTC forum months ago but just worked up the nerve to install it since I wanted a very clean installation with all the cables tucked behind the trim once I started the install I found it wasn’t so intimidating and got it done now waiting on the OBD II Port adapter today that will power it so I can remove the temporary 12V Cigarette Plug

We put forward and rear facing dashcams in all of our cars. Decided the Rexing that Best Buy offers was a good one. After any incident or something like that tire, we can pull over and transfer from the SD card to our phones.
I'm pretty sure better pricing could be found with a little looking.

A view from the back camera. Thanks for all the suggestions, I may look into putting them on YouTube. The good news is, it bounced a couple more times, then rolled off onto the right-side ditch. The cars in the right and center lanes had stopped, it passed in front of them, causing no damage to anyone. Except my underwear,,,,,,

Once upon a time...
I was doing 65 or 70 MPH.
The Ryder / Penske box truck in front of me dropped its drive shaft.
The driveshaft's forward motion with rotating gyroscopic action kept it parallel to the road long enough for me to straddle it, harmlessly passing over it.
In my rearview mirror I see the driveshaft gain some traction and roll across all lanes.

You can download directly wirelessly without pulling over, if there are two of you in the car. It does stop recording when you do that though. I also find that I have to disconnect the phone from Sync before it will connect to the camera. I believe that camera is specially packaged with a direct-wire kit for Best Buy, so it's a better deal than some that don't include it.

One of my relatives had their car flip when it hit a rolling tire. He was on a dark road when he saw headlights coming at him erratically weaving. Didn't see the tire coming and didn't know what happened till he gathered his wits and climbed out of the car. The approaching vehicle apparently lost the front wheel which kept going in a straight line. Insurance company totaled his relatively new Tesla.
