LOL... yes obviously Ford screwed up the pricing on the '22 hybrid on all 3 trims. they missed by even more on the Bronco; in 2021 the Bronco base was $29,500+fees. in 2023 they removed the base entirely, and brought it back for MY24 with a new starting price of $39,630. *ouch*This thread title made me think of what I would have done with pricing had I been Ford with the gift of prescience. I would have started by premium-pricing the hybrid at $25,000 from day one. Because it still would have sold out.
I had 3 Saab’sOnly change I would make would be to delete the sunroof. We never use it and we would have saved about $1000. Oh, and maybe not get an Area 51, they seem to be everywhere!
$22.5 for a XLT hybrid. Can you believe how affordable they were? Wild..I would have gone ahead and sprung for the 4K tow package even though I have a F-250 for tow/haul needs. Then I would have ordered a second XLT hybrid for my daughter.
I wouldn't change a thing, I ordered a XLT FX4 in OCT 21 with ALL the packages except 1000 sunroof, got it 9 months later, had a leased car that I had to buy waiting for Maverick because my lease was up and sold it for 5k profit, I paid 34k tax included out the door for a loaded Maverick, it has 13k now and only problems are all those silly radio BS. The 22 Maverick has a lot of options they removed from the newer models and runs great. knock wood...And got a extended Ford warranty for 1500 bucks half of what the dealer wanted.I would be tempted to buy a Lariat but the XLT LUX I thought was the better value.
What I wish I would have done, was order a second XLT Hyrbid and ordered it in Cyber Orange!
It’s wild how much the Mavericks have gone up in price and how they come with so many less options now.
When I first found out about the Maverick hybrid I thought the price was excellent for what you get.
It’s wild that you no longer get the painted side mirrors, heated windshield deicer, key pad lock on driver door, the bed rails that were included in the XLT LUX and the price is now several thousand dollars more expensive.
Prices for most all other vehicles are also several thousand dollars more than they were in 2022. It's all relative....the price is now several thousand dollars more expensive.
That was back in 1970 when you were making less then $5 an hour!Inflation happens when you print more money and put it in circulation. It's basically a tax because the Government gets to spend it. Now consider this: the first Maverick I considered buying was $1995, brand new.
