Not to spark a whole “that’s going to burn out the starter debate”, but I learned yesterday that if you press the brake pedal twice it forces the engine to shut down. That may be common knowledge, but I did not know that.

When you get to a stop light and press the brake pedal to stop, if you release the pedal and press it again the engine stops. Provided the auto hold is enabled. Pretty cool.

The engine "stops" as in you completely turn off your truck? Sounds kinda dangerous. Maybe you mean it reengages the auto stop/start feature which is disabled when you enable the auto hold feature?

Better than AS/S IMO, because it puts you in control of when it shuts down. Don't do it when it puts you in danger.

I always disable auto stop-start whenever I get ready to head out. Whether or not it actually leads to premature starter failure, it is annoying in my opinion.

Not a fan of start/stop . To much wear and tear on multiple components imo . always turn it off .
