little squaredrop campers do just fine. my mileage dropped in half due to wind drag. i cant imagine trying to tow that with a hybrid. yuck.

We did just the opposite and bought a small truck as a toad for our motorhome...
Perfect combination of Maverick hybrid and camper! Many happy travels!I've been watching this simple unit for a while. It's a 2023 Outbound Extreme XT. Only bad thing is it is pretty tall at 93", but I will be able to stand in it. EW is about 1100#. This will fit in my Garage at home. Wide enough for a queen Mattress, and it has 2 58"x24" bunk beds up front. List price with options was $13,170. You don't get much camper at any price any more. This will work for our road trips.
Above was the original asking price. I like that the optional wrap will somewhat match my Atlas Blue Hybrid. Above you can see the bunks, it also has the Electric package, with Air conditioner and storage cubby above. Bunks will most likely be used for storage too, unless a grandchild comes with.
Paying $5495, plus $100 doc fee. Nothing else really compares for the money. Should tow pretty easy at 65mph.

Actually these trailers pull quite well. While it is a bit tall, it's worth it to be able to stand up in. After camping for 3 years in an E150 van, this will be much more comfortable and still get better mpg. More power than than the van for the hills too. The hybrid has good torque available all the time. I'll just have to keep the speed reasonable when towing.

The first order will be lowering the trailer some. Then looking into a cap to help direct airflow. Those 2 things will make a big impact on drag.

What do you haul in that trailer? That is almost exactly twice the frontal area of the camper I just bought. Good to know yours pulls well.I don't understand your comment.

On a trifold mattress, but yes basically. It's not glamping. More/less a stand up tear drop.

The Royal Blue was $35 for FIVE GALLONS it's a mis-tint paint that retails for $267 for 5 gallons, I only get the premium paint in colors that other people turn their noses up at.
It's a great base color to create a scene on or just leave it, how do you think I've been able to keep the cost of the camper to under $4,000.00.

I turned the Fairing into a closet, accessable from the inside, at 47 square feet, the extra 2.85 square feet doesn't sound like much but I can stand up in it, it's where I have the omnidirectional TV antenna and a wiring chase. May/June we spent 7 weeks traveling the Eastern States, the extra room would have been a blessing, it's a recent addition, added a month ago, we had an A/C on the floor poked out the front and the fairing covered it but now the upper section doesn't move any more.

You had me going at first. I only saw the first picture, and I was wondering how tall you were to stand up in there! Then I saw the others. LOL. Nice design. Reminds me of the old Hi Low trailers. I’ve got a 7 ft inside height 6x12 , think it 1200lbs. with a v nose, I just have basically hand tools, ladders etc, but I’m just pulling few mile to get supplies etc, probably not going over 2000 lb. With the v8 trk I was getting 8-10 mi on highway and pulling everywhere, those days are done but now just local tow, can’t really see pulling long distances, but local don’t really even know it’s behind. I don’t know why the Tremor only calls for 2000lb tow as it has up gradesI don't understand your comment.

I would assume it's the expected off road usage that limits the towing. Same thing happens with the Raptor. That box has to be almost 8 feet from the bottom to top outside. Hoping I can get my frame as low as yours.

Hybrid towing rule of thumb:
You can tow "whatever" size weight height that keeps the power meter under 50%. 51% - 100% can be used for short hill climbs, passing, and accelerating to highway speeds.
More than 4 or 5 minutes (sustained) at greater than 50% starts to heat up the electric generator. But it also cools down fast so camel humps in the road are usually fine. Equal parts up and down, fine.
Under 2k you can probably ignore the power gauge. And the temperature gauge.
Before you feel disappointed, try it.
50% is more power than you'd think from this little truck.
Try to sustain your truck at 50% output for 5 minutes. You probably can't find a piece of road large enough you can do that on.
