At this point I’m driving like 300 miles a month

Maybe I should go total electric

I could go almost a month on a charge 🤔
Many multi-car families do that - EV for the daily driver, PHEV for the long trips when needed - daily driver for whoever goes shorter.

If only 1 car needed & you do rare long trips - EV & rental when needed.
Or enjoy charging along the way as part of the trip.

I ran the Mav yesterday, but today needed to pop to a nearby store and the PHEV had charge in it, so took the Escape PHEV, there and back for a dime.

We are considering a 27 Bolt. Don't drive much so the economic case isn't very strong, but the 99 Buru is leaking oil bad and only gets about 18 MPG around town. Range/charging are good on the bolt and we have the Mav for any trip where we have charging anxiety.

As far as the Maverick hybrid goes, I'm just coming up on 6K miles and between learning how to drive for mileage and the truck breaking in I'm getting fantastic MPG. Did a 100 mile out and back yesterday, 1/2 on freeway @ 60-65 and half on country roads 40-50. 53 mpg going and 51 coming home!

Any of you driven in snow with a Maverick FWD

Wondering if it’s good in the snow?

Also you wouldn’t put all 4 aggressive tires like the Falken Wildpeaks on a hybrid?

What tires are you using in snow? 2or 4 tires
Does the fwd seem adequate in the snow?

Fwd very adequate. I have Blizzaks (snow tires) on spare wheels for the winter and they work well on my steep driveway. Have them on all 4 wheels.

I'm in Michigan - have hybrid xl fwd - tires i have are all seasons they're medium grade tires almost new....found that even in slippery mode they were 'OK' but ...not great. I would say it'd likely be a lot better either with snow tires or a higher grade tire. Able to get thru winter with not too much problem but if I was driving a lot I'd probably upgrade the tires or do snow tires in the winter.

Solved with the AGM 12V battery in the 2025+ models, I think.
Nope, it's a delaying tactic until the sulfation damage becomes critical
An AGM battery that is only charged to 60% will go maybe 3x as long as an EFL or FL battery before it fails, getting Ford out of a lot of warranty claims and leaving you to handle the problem on your dime. The fix for the broken charging software is still not available.

Drive less than 6,000 miles a yr
Very short trips to work…. Like a 2 miles😁
I have the 24 eco… but I am intrigued about a hybrid
You just want a new toy, :’P
I drive about 13,000 per year,
I’m very lucky in the fact that I can afford the gas even at $5.00 a gallon.

If gas gets up to $7 or $8 per gallon the
Mavbrids will be unobtainable and I might want one but it will be too late right !

I test drove the Mavbrid,
I did not like it at all.

I test drove the Ecoboost,
Zoom Zoom !

Bought the 24 AWD Eco Lariat,
I’m good.

Well, yes, but... this one isn't broken in yet, and I don't even try to hypermile it. 😁

I’m probably good too. Just a hybrid would suit me better for my driving

I’m looking to retire possibly in 2 yrs
Gotta get the Mav paid off quick

So unless you drive a lot…a hybrid wouldn’t really help very much?

Love my hybrid. At 70mph getting approx 35 mpg. I drive about 2700 miles a month. No complaints

It would be hard for me to recoup an additional $5,000 …I don’t drive enough to ever make that up

But if I ever get another Mav it will be hybrid

Perhaps by then they'll have a PHEV version!
Many are wishing for it too.
