I got my cat stolen off my Maverick while in route to the dealer. Once it got to the dealer I had to wait two months to get a new one. So, with the extra two month wait, it took 14 months to get my Maverick delivered.
I got a crack on my windshield within 24 hours of getting my Maverick from the dealer. First, my catalytic converter was stolen during transit to the dealer....had to wait weeks for it. Now, 14 months later I get my truck. The next morning I get a crack while driving to work. I am so tired...
Well I guess since my Maverick Hybrid is sitting at the dealer's lot cuz someone stole the catalytic converter while in transit, I should just keep it there for the recall. I ordered my Maverick the third week of July....last year and it won't have the catalytic converter put in until August...

My Hybrid XLT was confirmed by Ford on July 20th............since then....crickets....not one email.....nothing. I don't mind waiting, but at least let me know you still have my order.
I've been saving extra $$ every month since June for the down payment . If they keep extending the production dates.....by the time I get mine..... I will end up paying cash.
I'm getting stubborn in my old age. I will wait....and wait...and wait. A deal is a deal. Now I don't care if I don't get it until next summer. It is better not to offer anything at all than to offer something and take it back.
I'm going to wait with the order I have. Every month I add another $1k for my down payment. If they have a huge delay into next year maybe I won't need to finance.........but I guess I have to pray my 03 Elantra doesn't completely fall apart before my Maverick arrives.
At 67 my purchase motivations have matured. I figure some of the other seniors on the forum feel the same. When I was younger all I wanted was something that was eye catching and unique...and the ladies would like. When I got older, I wanted something that reflected my success to others....and...
I have an 2003 Hyundai Elantra that I bought off the floor. I named it "The Mighty Flea" because I took a year off and drove to 147 National Parks, Monuments, etc. and it never broke down. From Deadhorse, Alaska to Key West and from Nova Scotia to San Diego it kept going. I lived in it. I...
