Hope it’s ok to piggy back on your question. Instead of removing it is there a way to falsify the information that it sends ford?

Technically, yes there is. Realistically, not really.Hope it’s ok to piggy back on your question. Instead of removing it is there a way to falsify the information that it sends ford?
GPS modules are dirt cheap and there's already an antenna. What's more expensive is the mapping capability.I don't believe it has GPS, so the only data would be car statistics and the only location would cell triangulation. I could be wrong but I can't imagine them throwing in a GPS without listing it as a feature.
Hmmm Not so sure about that .......I don't believe it has GPS, so the only data would be car statistics and the only location would cell triangulation. I could be wrong but I can't imagine them throwing in a GPS without listing it as a feature.
Check out the Ford corporate telematics website... I don't know how they'd glean that much data without a GPS unit.I don't believe it has GPS, so the only data would be car statistics and the only location would cell triangulation. It's under the center of the instrument panel, forward of the console. You have to remove both center console forward side trim panels to get access to it. You can disconnect it from just the pass side, though, if you're ok leaving the physical module installed, just disconnected.what’s up guys just got the maverick XL awd .. i want to remove the telemetric control module . i already removed the fuse from the fuse box on the floor board. but does anyone no the location of the actual telemetric module. any info would be greatly appreciated.
Legal fault protection… and legal liability… double edgedSo what is ford going to know that i went too see grandma. I know of a recent accident where a passenger died and the telemetry was used to define fault. Why would you not want to be protected. Anyways ensure before you do this it will not affect your insurance coverage.
do you have a diagram or picture of the exact location? idk if i’m misunderstanding but you are saying it’s under the middle console where the shifter is?It's under the center of the instrument panel, forward of the console.
