About 2 weekends ago my wife and I took the 2025 AWD Hybrid maverick for a ride which comprises about 30 miles of unpaved road.
Back home I found the disaster in the pickup bed.
I do not expect to make the bed dustproof but did any one of you found a solution to get less dust in it?
I use a tonneau cover.
Thank you.

First thing would be check the fitting on your tonneau installation. I used extra foam under all three sides. Also check the gap between rubber flap and tailgate. Finally the dust may be coming up from the gaps between the floor and wheel wells. I pushed in round foam insulation into mine. I live on dirt road and with that and my tonneau I don’t see any intrusion in my bed.

To prevent less dust just keep doing what you are doing.

🤔 That weather stripping kit that "T-Bone" recommended seems to look pretty good. 👇👇👇

P.S. "Frenchie" you really should rework your title.
I don't think the title conveys what you are looking for. You can edit the Title.

Alternative title: 👇

How can I minimize dust from getting into the bed?

Yeah, the tailgate will let dust in, but unless you plug all the drain holes, just get used to hosing down the bed after a dusty ride.

I don't know if FoMoCo remedied this for MY '25, but MY '22-'24 Mav beds had a gap along both sides where the bed and vertical sides meet up. I used 3M automovie grade seam caulk to fill the seams. Filling the seams also prevents debris from lodging in the crack. So that uncaulked seam may be the source of some of the dust.

Very little dust gets in through the drain holes. The vast majority of it comes in around the tailgate.

As others have mentioned you'll need a piece of weather stripping to go along the entire tailgate sides and bottom. To further prevent dust depending on whether you have a drop-in liner or spray and liner. You also need to caulk some of the seams in the bottom corners near the bed you could also possibly seal drain holes but then when you do get water in the bed due to washing or rain there'll be nowhere for it to drain.

Remember there are drain holes in the bed. Any hole in the bed will allow dust in. A drop in bed liner should keep it cleaner or even a bed mat should help. The SIBL installers usually make it a point to keep all holes open. And of course the tailgate seals are an obvious requirement.

RE: Seal drain holes - I like all your suggestions except I would not seal the 10 drain holes permanently. I would place tape over them temporarily during an off-road trip.
