How to install bed extender?

Hey! I receive my bed extender, came with 2 small bracket mounts that goes on the exterior and 6 screws.

However, the predrilled holes don’t have filament in them, so it’s impossible to screw.

One video, a guy had a back plate to screw against the back side of the bed? I never received that?



Could I just put a bolt nut behind each screw?

Theres only like 2-3 videos and they don’t really show what they do after pulling the light. I don’t have a second plate anywhere behind the light? its empty.

Did you buy this new? Is it the Ford branded one?

I believe they come with a backing plate that goes behind the taillights, but I don't see why you couldn't use a nut with a washer.
