Do You live in Akron? If so that's not really the Snow Belt?I'm in NE Ohio (snowbelt) and i don't put anything in the bed with AWD. no issues.
The EXTRA benefit of keeping sandbags in the back is....I was going to start with 200lbs but I was wondering what you guys were going to be using?
Do you see dry snow? It will not pack down and you fall through like quick sand. I got my Polaris snowmobile stuck one time & jump off to sink up to my armpits in the soft powder. It took me an hour to get back on the snowmobile.I have never needed sand or a shovel to get 'unstuck' in vehicle. Includes lots of miles in the mountains.
I've heard it comes in packets down there.Last time I was in Cancun, ‘2023’ I don’t remember seeing snow! The only sort of white stuff I saw was sand!![]()

Not armpit deep, but first time ever on a snowmobile I got quite stuck in thigh deep heavy snow, took probably 45 minutes of trying to get myself turned around before all the will of my body to move limbs gave out and I called a coworker to come help me, luckily right when I hung up the phone another snowmobile came around the corner and helped me get unstuck, and now we ride together most of the winter.
I got a new 2024 sled so hopefully this winter it'll be better, plus all the experience from riding 2 winters since those photos.
FWD hybrid with Blizzaks for the winter. Goes great with no weight in the back.I was going to start with 200lbs but I was wondering what you guys were going to be using?
A sort of primal fear awakens from the deep recesses in the back of the brain moving quickly up front and center when stranded out in the woods by yourself, at least it certainly did for meI was alone after midnight when it happen. I only had moonlight to see what I was doing. I did pray for help.
