The title says all... how many of you? I ordered a Maverick without even test-drive it first. I did sit inside of a Maverick (hybrid) at the dealer's lot and ordered a Maverick with EcoBoost.
Sat in one after orders has halted last year. Liked it and got order placed on 9-16-22 at 8:30 for XLT with Hybrid. Have confirmation from Ford that I have an order placed. Wonder when I will hear more. See them around a bit here in west GA.

We tried to test drive one as my wife wanted to do that before giving the go ahead to order it for her. Two dealerships and none in sight, so we placed the order without even sitting in one.

Just how it is, I suppose.

Last year, as part of my investment due diligence, I was reading up on market trends for commercial imports and exports. Covid The powers that be gave the sector a real beating with lockdowns that still plagues us today. In my research on semis I identified the chip shortage was going to be around for a while—we were looking at a recovery timeline of 2025, but this was pre-inflation, pre-economic and energy disparity due to global wartime efforts and may be prolonged now. Either way, I looked out the window to my aging Canyon and thought I better order something now in the event semis don't recover within the preconceived timeline. I stumbled upon the Maverick in an ad of all places in early October and thought the price was right. Never got in one, never drove one, but I placed an order all the same. Looks like I was a few months too late and now I'm dealing with the same MY23 rollover issue as many others are.

i have never ridden them but do see them around town. I peek in the windows when parked at the store. My only concern with no test drive is how much room is the back seat for the family. It wont be the primary family car but hopefully can fit 5 in a pinch.
There is enough head room and leg room in the rear for me and I’m 6 feet tall and 240lbs so you should be good. It has more room on the inside than a double cab tacoma.

No test drive but have seen it close up, just a look from outside. I've seen a few driving around town. With the wife blessing (a necessity for sure) I did everything online.

I never saw or drove a Maverick before ordering, but I did test drive a Bronco Sport with the 2.0 EB engine in Jan 2021. I liked the ride of the BS but there was a $3k ADM markup that I would never pay and I found the rear seat and cargo room smaller than I was looking for. I also test drove a Chevy Colorado that I was close to purchasing until the dealer played too many games during negotiations.
A few months later when I found out about the Maverick I was ecstatic because it checked most of the boxes I had been looking for. I ordered Mav on 20-June-2021 and received delivery on 05-Nov-21.

I have seen one but not drove or been in one. Ordered on on thursday when they opened up orders. Sales man that did my paper work has one scheduled to be delivered on 10-7 and told me to come drive it. Got the hybrid. So if don't like it which is unlikely I can cancel.

I ordered mine without a test drive. I did get to sit in one on a dealers lot and it reminded me of the 2011 Escape I bought my daughter years ago. Drives like it too.

No need for a test drive. Previously owned a hybrid, so knew how it would drive.

No test drive, I've only ever sat in one once, I just needed to make sure it was roomy enough inside!

With such a short ordering window , I ordered first then started a dive into the vehicle. Compared the size against my CRV and decided the front seats would work for us.

Then while at the dealer for service for another vehicle, there were 4 Mavericks; three for sale. I got a full test sit and was happy.

Back seats are worst than my CRV, but as a household of two people will not matter.

Placed an order a month after it went live. I didn't even test drive it when I came to pick it up

I knew i wanted. Needed an upgrade bad so I was ready to get in and out. Already waited 8 months and what, I would he swayed to change my mind in a 15 min test drive? Nope. I got to sit in it and play around with everything which was good enough a test. No regrets at all lol

Pretty sure I got the first Maverick in my county, and the county the dealership was in. I got it for 24k all in, 2 weeks after the car I was driving blew itself up for good.

Considering the price and the absolute mess the used market was at the time, the Maverick was going to be the best vehicle I could get. The only thing that could have dissuaded me on a test drive was if the suspension rattled my fillings out.
