How many folks have towed anything with their Maverick?

If Maverick owners are similar to all truck owners - the data indicates less than 25% have towed.

Although looking at the responses to the OP Poll - we Maverick Owners are intensely tow focused. 80% tow folks!

Curious as to why Maverick owners love to tow but chose a Maverick over a mid size truck?

While a Ranger would (barely) fit in my garage, the Maverick allows me to walk around it.

Yep - my previous GMC Canyon left only a small path in the front to navigate the garage. I can “round trip” my much preferred Maverick. Did not have a hitch on my Canyon. Probably would have cost $1000+ extra!

edit - if I did tow, the Maverick is the obvious choice

Because the 99% of the time you are not towing, the Mav rides better then anything else out there by a country mile, aside from the Ridgeline. And it fits in narrow city garages, urban driveways, ece. And when you ARE towing, these unibody, independent suspension trucks handle the load very well, without the bounce of leaf spring trucks.

So if your trailer is light enough to fit int he 4k tow rating, the question is not "why would you buy a maverick", instead its "why would you buy more then a maverick".

I have a 5x8 lawnmower trailer I occasionally use but other than that I hardly ever tow anything. Had the truck for about 2 and a half years and I think I’ve hooked a trailer up to it 5 times. Looking back I should’ve added the 4K just in case I ever needed it down the road but for what I would use the truck for the 2k is plenty. Pulled my lawnmower and quad a few times and it pulled very well.

Okay one prerequisite before purchasing. The reason I have 5 trailers. I would have liked a little bit more than 4k but I decided to make it work. Now a lot of threads either asking how to increase the towing from the standard 2k or trading in even to other vehicles with higher towing capabilities.

Also many posts on I don't tow or will never tow. So this got me thinking. I decided a poll if you tow or will never tow.

Keep in mind even a small trailer and under 2000lbs is still considered a yes for towing.
I have a couple of small trailers. The 4'x8' tilts so it's easy to load the motorcycles, mower, and anything with wheels. And, with the small bed, anything big, like a long couch.

Most truck owners never tow. More than 9 out of 10 truck buyers do not choose a Maverick. Why is that? Don’t know.

My Arizona suburban neighborhood has dozens & dozens of pickup trucks. Never seen a neighbor towing anything. Only the visiting work trucks are pulling trailers. Yet to see a Maverick work truck pulling a trailer. Roofers next door politely mocked my Maverick “truck” once. They were in a big Ford work truck;)

Yep towed a uhaul 5x9 and 6x12 trailer and it did both very well! The 5x9 was loaded up with lots of dirt and yard waste so it was quite heavy, and the 6x12 hauled a kei truck!

For me, the sled trailer is about the most I'll ever tow so it's safely within the load limit of the truck. Plus, when I'm not towing (about 80% of the year) the MPG is excellent! The Ranger is just slightly too big for my needs, and an F150 definitely is much more than I need.
