How long does Airbag recall fix take?

Got the notice. How long does this take on average? Does your dealer provide loaner ? Have been told no by one dealer but wondering if I should call around.

Haven't had mine done yet, but parts arrived for it. The recall pays 2 hours...but will probably take 3-4 hours. I'd lean more towards 4 hours if the dealer tech hasn't done many of them yet (which is likely).

"Rental vehicles are not approved for this program". Ford will not pay for a loaner, so the dealer would have to do so on their own dime if they are willing.

Although, I should say that I am looking at the US dealer bulletin.... it may be possible that the Canadian one would be slightly different. What is the recall number in Canada? 22C20, or something else? I'll try looking it up if it is different.

They just give a department of transport # 2022-442

pretty sure loaners are up to the dealer. I’ll call around see who wants the work.. I have a few close dealers.

I got the recall notice just the other day. Not planning to address it until I go in for the next oil change/rotation. If the dealer can't do it within a few hours I'll let it slide and just try to not get into a big collision for a while.

Book time is 4 hours labor. But considering dealers were telling people a day or two for the underhood fire recall modifications which is literally <1 hr who knows.

2 hr labour in for 1/2 day. 2 weeks to get parts. No loaner from any dealer I called but courtesy drop off and pick up

Taking in mine in the day after the long weekend. Hopefully it shouldn't take long. The service writer noticed I had an appointment booked for an oil change and has both recalls to be done on the same day.

Told the guy he can schedule it for another time, wasn't fazed.

Who knows, maybe Canadians will also get a Yeti

I got the recall & tried to call the dealership, but was forwarded to voicemaill. I drove to the dealership & they did the recall in 20 minutes while I waited. It looks exactly like it did before the work with the right side slightly pushed in. Left side flush.

FWIW this thread was for in reference to the 22-23MY curtain airbag replacement, not the 25MY airbag light repair.

Good catch!!! There is no way 22C20 could be completed in 20 minutes!!

For 25 Mavericks, they are just adding some clips to secure a light. 4 steps.
For 22-3 Mavericks they are dropping the headliner and replacing side curtain airbags. 41 steps in instructions for that FSA.

What airbag recall? The 25 has a light on the passenger side of the dash that has to be properly secured, but that's not the airbag.

25c17 relates to the passenger airbag disable indicator lamp. So indirectly related to airbag.

I just had the passenger airbag light recall done. My dealer sent a tech to my house and did the repair in my garage. Took him 1 minute to complete.
