I'll let you know, have an appointment at the main shop after two weeks of failed attempts to get them to schedule it with the mobile guys, including the mobile scheduling guy apparently quitting mid-stream? sigh....

Given my local dealer's well-deserved reputation, I expect it to be a several hour fiasco.

It's a programming change to one of the body control modules. Should be very fast. But queue time is what always screws that up. An "appointment" at a car dealer service department is never an actual "appointment"!
I wonder why this can't be self-updated over the internet/cloud/wi-fi or some other damn thing?
That would be nice. I do know that tpms has to be reset after the update I think that requires hands on.

it was quick yesterday - at the dealer, I didn't finish the coffee. Paperwork indicated the fault had been identified and "repaired" . time will tell - maybe 15 minutes

What? Mine didn't. I watched. Took all of ten minutes for him from plug in to unplugged. Even when I swap wheels with different sensors it doesn't need a reset.

I need to renew my Forscan to check, but has anybody looked to see if perhaps the notification setting was simply set to off at the factory, and they're merely turning it on? - That thought ran through my head, as there are members who simply turned it off to eliminate the hyper-flash with Lasfit bulbs.

They did it on mine. Another poster in this thread had that done too
Maybe it's trim related? I did not see them do it. Brought it in for an oil change and never got any notification that my truck was part of the recall.
