How is your Ecoboost doing on MPG?

2023 XLT Tremor--10700 miles 29.4 since new using 91 octane ethanal free mostly rural 2 lane driving very limited city driving. I've found it does around 28MPG in cold weather and 30 plus in warm/hot weather. Probably do a little better if I didn't always seem to be in a hurrry!

That's pretty good! I tried a tank of non ethanol in mine and I swear it bogged it down. I couldn't empty the tank fast enough to get back to the 93 octane lol

rural driver - port huron michigan area - drive in to work - 45 miles - Mt . Clemens area (summer get about 34-36 mpg) Winter 30- 32 - i learned early on how the foot affects the pedal with my 22 ecoboost. I avoid freeways and rarely use eco mode unless in city to stop turbo from spooling - only benefit Eco really gives imho - as normal mode gives better mpg all around - no hilly terrain and that helps my situation out too. Best i ever did in an Ecoboost Maverick (22 xl) was a round trip to Port Austin Michigan and back on a quarter tank of gas - was averaging 39-40 mpgs - yes hand figured not metered lol - but i was very conscience of the pedal lol which was tedious at best as i could not get the darn meter to surpass 49mpgs no matter what - and i knew it was lying . If you stay aware of the engine relationship to pedal pressure you will benefit from mpgs hands down. I put it in sport and forget about mpgs lol thats just price of admission for fun times. Moral of the story is a gentle foot and gentle terrain with little stop and go boosts mileage - go figure

I don't have an option on octane as all local gas stations carry non ethanol at 91octane so I don't know what it would do with 93 octane. Mine replaced a Dodge Dakota 5 speed with a 5.2 Liter which got 14.5 MPG. Its fantastic to cut my gas bill almost exactly in half!

I've found ethanol drives my mpgs down. No ethanol for me. 77k total miles. Average still a tick over 30mpg lifetime. Occasional trailering really gives a hit. I'd be closer to 32.

Oh ok, makes sense. Haha I can understand that! Nothing wrong with saving some money on fuel. I came out of a Elantra with no turbo. So while fuel economy was better, I'm very happy I made the switch. My fuel economy hasn't suffered too much, not to mention I can get so much more out of my Maverick.

My calculated miles are about 8% lower than shown on the gage. My city MPGs winter are about 38 and summer about 53 MPGs. I am listing to show ICE only owners how disadvantage the hybrid is in winter driving

After a round trip from Michigan to Texas we averaged 27.5mpg at 75 to 80mph, 2025 Lariat 4K AWD.

Got my Maverick in late December. After 5000 miles I'm hovering around 21mpg. I'm a little disappointed but I suspect the optimistic MPG rating is based on running in "Eco" mode with the start/stop feature engaged. The weather here has had me in "Slippery" mode most of time vs. "Eco" and I religiously turn off the auto start/stop feature.

I have the 2.0 Ecoboost and I get 34 mpg on the road

Averaged 26 on 235/60-18 Destination LE3s. Dropped to 24.5 on 245/65-17 Nomad Grapplers. Always on normal mode.

Got 34 on the LE3s going Houston to Denver. 32 on the Nomads.

All unprogrammed so actually slightly better.

More fun to drive a slow car “fast” than a fast car slow, am I right?

My Lobo gets me 18-20mpg around town because of the tune. I’ve never installed an aftermarket tune - but this OEM Ford Lobo Tune is very nice!

I go through about a half tank of 91 octane every month. 87 octane would decrease my mpg’s & performance noticeably! 93 octane not available in my town

Just over 2k miles, never reset the average calculator: 31.3mpg
I do a lot of flat highways, cruise control between 55-60mph.
