I'm curious how the Ecoboost owners are doing with gas mileage? Have you seen it improve over time as the engine broke in? I mainly use ECO mode and it has improved slightly since the truck was new

Currently I have 9,000 miles on my truck and around town I average 24 and last long trip I averaged just under 32 mpg. I'd love to get above 25 around town.

I barely got 30 on my commute when new. Now with 47K miles and a bed cover I get 32. (32.5 in the summer, 31.5 in the winter)

26-28 in town. 29-30 highway for me. 25k miles
Good numbers. What “Mode” do you typically drive in & do you leave the Stop/Start system activated?

I’m hovering around 20mpg on my 25 Lobo. 2K miles on odo & 11 months on calendar.

I use Sport Mode with “M” (manual) button pushed in and use my paddles. 50% City, 45% Country, 5% Italian Tuneup Freeway trips.

Mine is spot on the EPA ratings. I have an FX4 though, so likely (very) slightly below what a standard AWD Ecoboost might get with the same conditions.

I hand-calculate every tank, but I also have calibrated my dash to show very close to accurate MPG.

I have an Fx4 so 99 percent of the time it’s just normal mode. Only other one I can really just drive around in is slippery mode and I don’t use it much.

Yea Auto start gets turned off immediately. It’s habit now to hit the button when I put it in drive.

At just over 4k miles on my 2025 XLT AWD, I have averaged 30.2 mpg. My best so far is 31.3 mpg on a recent trip of about 400 miles.

Winter 27 to 29, if it's 50 degrees or more I get 31 to 33. Mostly 2 land highway 36 round trip to town. So very little freeway and a little city once I get into town. Freeway I get hit hard over 70mph optional ratio with a 24 FX4. Pulling a heavy or wind blocking trailer it takes a hit it also has 4k tow package. Anywhere 21 to 27 mpg pulling a trailer with it above 50 degrees. Hope this information helps but different driver and different roads will and can make a difference.

The start stop doesn't affect mpg or noticeable. Never use to shut it off. New battery and frigid winter took its toll so now I just keep it turned off, that is if remember to shut it off. I think about it just to save the battery. I usually get out once a week so it sits. Around 19000 miles not sure exactly just a calculated guess/estimate, a little over 2 years old.

Ordered it with optional p235 tires, same ones still on it.

Those are fantastic numbers. I assume plenty of highway miles?

Have you ever done a manual “audit” to check the accuracy of the numbers?

On my 22 XLT, AWD, 4K towing. This is the best I ever got on a tank of gas. I was pulling into the gas station when I hit 0. Now that it's summer, I'm back to getting 500+ miles a tank. In the winter I'm getting around 400+ miles. Due to starting the truck to let it warm up in Wisconsin 🥶

Yes, I live in a mostly rural area so that helps. I always calculate my mileage at fillups. I'm finding my calculated mpg is about 1.7 mpg lower than the display.
