Being handicap I have a wide body parking permit, keep it garaged. The first week I had it I applied Mequires paint sealant by hand. I have used this on all my new cars as far back as I can remember. I do all the exterior and interior surfacese. This keeps under the hood and open door areas easier to clean. I refresh the surface every 18 months. Between I use the Mequires final inspection after every car wash. If I go to a car wash I decline the wax application because I do not like it on my windows. I use rainx on all glass including head and tail lights. I have A 2009 Accord and the paint is as good as new.
With the aforementioned products you can use a buffer but I only hand buff because I am afraid to burn the paint. There are many good products but I stayed with what I knew. The important thing is do something.
I also have the clear film applied to the front of outside mirrors, head lights and the first 12 to 18 inches of the car. I have a scheduled appointment For this next week. This prevents rock chips to the leading edges.
you ask this is what I do and my cars are easy to keep clean. The alto Blue looks dirty all the time but I have a brush and I dust it off in the morning before I leave the house.

Have fun the sealeant and polish is about $40.00. The sealant will do two plus applications on the Mavrick. I have a 64 oz bottle of the polish and I poured maybe 6 oz in a spray bottle and probably have 2 to 3 oz left. As I said before find a product you like and use it. You do not need to pay a detail shop a fist full of money to do what you can do in a afternoon in the garage. Being 77 now it took me about 8 hours. 6 with the sealant in the afternoon and 2 hours the next morning for polish
good luck and have fun.

I did have some strange looks…I even had to hold up traffic for pic’s.

I was really worried about the guy that drove his fork lift🤣🤣🤣

Not one to go overboard with an array of elite protectants, but not one to pooh-pooh rudimentary cosmetic upkeep either.

Outlined my choices here:

Being we're in an extended period of drought, auto washing is frowned upon so relying on highway winds to blow off what garage dust it can.

What are people using to clean the seats in a Lariat? Right now I just wipe them down with a wet towel.
