Done and done.
1) Rinse off any loose surface grime and debris, hand wash, rinse again, towel dry.
2) Apply spray ceramic coat. Following spray bottle instructions for initial application: two applications, 24 hours apart. The spray is, frankly, magical. Trick is to spritz it very sparingly.

Same procedure performed on the inside panel of the tailgate.

3) Separate attention given to glass cleaning afterwards.

(Received truck March 21, racked up a whopping 148 miles since. As an amusing tidbit, drove it from the garage onto the lawn for washing and trip readout for that distance was 999.9 mpg.)

I like that hybrid ceramic spray. Its so easy to use.
Agreed it is wondrous.

Only drawback is that if want to keep it under the rear seat for easy access the bottle is just tall enough to get slightly smooshed unless stored there in a not totally vertical posture.
