I could have withdraw the full amount from my IRA, without penalty, but doing so would've put me in a different tax bracket. Instead, put down about 40% without touching my IRA and financed it at 2.9% in January of this year. I may just keep the payment, unless I want to get a Toyota hybrid truck in which case the Maverick will be paid off in January...

Took out a loan for part (less than half) of mypurchase price because I wanted to leave some money in savings - but with the current interest on my savings, the net interest rate of my loan is only 1%, so I'm in no big hurry to pay it off.

You mean the additional money you were taking out from your IRA would have been taxed at a higher level than your other income was?

Likely a smart choice with the 2.9% vs. that increase on the IRA funds to cover the Maverick.

I put 10k down on a 24k out-the-door Maverick XL last January so I could get the payments for a 3 year, 0 interest loan down to around 370 bucks a month.

About half way through that so I owe about 7k on it still.

I didn't have a trade in because my 2005 Impala killed itself 2 weeks before my Maverick came in (Head gasket). Was a week away from giving up and grabbing a Prius or RAV4 when my truck got here.

Selling, trading in '22 Maverick. Balance due in cash, should be $2000-$3000, depending on when the '24 comes in. Benefits are new tires, brakes, warranty. Worth it?, I don't know, we'll see. The '22 has been problem free, just a great vehicle.

The plan right now is to be about 50/50 cash to financing. I have about 10k. should have close to 15k by they time they even start building the '24s in October. Considering i'll be ordering a base XL Hybrid maybe, i'll be able to just pay cash by the time it actually comes in. :ROFLMAO:

$19,058 out the door for my 2023 xl. Combined with a $11,000 trade-in I wrote a check.

~27k out the door for XL with a few options minus 2.5k Credit card w/2% cashback, then a tradein of 12 year old Honda and a discount for Farm Bureau, balance 15k financed dealer then moved onto a 21 month 0% balance transfer card(3% transfer fee). Took my credit score down a little but don't need credit lol. Will cash flow it over 21 months....or roll it to another card end of 21 months.

My maverick is currently in production and I plan to trade in my Ford Fusion and rest will be cash to get the payment in the 200s. My dealership told me to reach when it ships to start the financing process. I am ready for them to give me top dollar for my fusion to help pay for the maverick.

My dealership did tell me no incentives for the Maverick which is a shame Ford.
Supply isn't keeping up with demand. No reason to incentivize a vehicle that they can't make enough of.

You will probably get a low ball from dealer. Check CarMax, Carvana etc. Most dealers ain't given' nothing!
