Big mistake, Co-Pilot 360 is worth it. What kind of price can you put on safely.
Co-pilot 360 is still included, it just drops from $795 to $0 when adding the Lux package to an Hybrid AWD XLT.

Is copilot that annoying lane assist thing?

We test drove a Maverick with that...hated it.

I have 5.5 million accident free miles in OTR trucks...been doing OK without it.

Never considered CoPilot 360 - too many nanny state features on the truck as it is. In fact, the seat belt reminders (both on start up and rear seat) are so irritating that I hope to never buy another vehicle with that stupidity,
On my XL, I ordered CP360 for the power mirrors and larger sized spare, not the extra safety features. But not long after I took delivery of the truck, I attempted to go around a vehicle on the freeway. There was a vehicle I overlooked in the left side blind spot. The Blind Spot feature saw it though, and alerted me. I was grateful the feature saved me from a potentially bad accident.

As for seat belt warnings; I always wear my seatbelt, except when driving on my lengthy gravel road to check the mailbox. One would be a fool to not wear one. Anyway, I do not like the chime any more than you do. But at least Ford gives the owner the option to disable the chime, and on a per-seat basis. I've never had a vehicle that gave me the choice.

This procedure also works for each rear seating position.

I ordered CP360 for my XL, to get power mirrors and bigger spare tire. But I disabled the lane stuff. Too many sharp curvy roads around here to not cross the line from time to time. I also disabled auto-dim headlights because it was too slow to react when a car came around a blind curve.

I left blind spot warnings on and cross-traffic alerts. Didn't think I'd want those, but they have been most helpful. Cross-traffic alert is very handy when backing out of a parking space between two tall trucks or vans.

let's face it. I'd love to get the Maverick Lariat but don't have or want to spend $40k+

At the moment co pilot and lux package sound perfect with the Hybrid XLT trim.

Option A XLT
Hybrid
FWD
+Lux
+Copilot
$33,075 :like:

I could get AWD by dropping the Lux package

Option B XLT
Hybrid
AWD
+4k Tow
+Copilot
-Lux
$34,945
Since a power seat nor heated seats aren't a deal-breaker for you, I'd go for option B.

As for the 400w inverter, what are you looking to use it for? Personally I have an EcoFlow River mounted in the bed of my truck that is wired to a 12v charge port. Unlike an inverter, the EcoFlow is a power station so thus it has its own battery and can be used when the truck is off. I use it to power my truck fridge.

Bed lights are easy to add with minimal tools or skill. You could even go as simple as a couple $1.79 flashlights from Harbor Freight.

I personally never liked heated seats. My wife has them on her Bronco Sport and I always turn it off. I use the Ford app and pre heat my Maverick for 10 minutes on colds days.
I knocked heated seats until I had a car that came with them. Now I'd be hard-pressed to get a car without them. Even in sunny Southern California, heated seats make long trips more tolerable for me since it keeps the blood circulating and the cramps at bay. Also the seats heat faster than the cabin does, which is nice when I go to colder climates.

What vehicle would you recommend at 40k that gets 40mpg, has a bed, comes awd, and can fit in a normal size single car garage.
That's one reason why I wouldn't mind springing for a Maverick Lariat hybrid AWD Lux 4k tow.

But realistically, since I tend to buy used vehicles (and thus fuel economy isn't as important), I wouldn't mind getting a Ranger. I just wish they had a moonroof option. I find it interesting that the Maverick and F-150 have moonroof options, but the Ranger doesn't.

Since the seat belt reminders are mandated by the US government, they'll be in every new car here. However, one really nice thing about Fords is the availability of Forscan where you can change the software to make the car think it's in Europe or elsewhere, which disables them. I've zero'd out my seatbelt reminders in Forscan so get zero pop ups and chimes. I wear it all the time, but don't need to be reminded to do so IMO.
