If your not in a hurry, my guess is there will be some incentives from ford and maybe lower interest rates to get the MY24's affected by the camera recall off the lots. Pro's and Con's either way.

The 2025 will have intelligent access and the push to start button, if that's of any interest to you.

HRG
Not to mention Sync 4 which is a giant upgrade to the POS system on the old XL and XLT.

And a revised EcoBoost with port and direct injection now.

I'd go with the 2025 but that's just me.

I see you have or are getting a hybrid🤔
I think that has to do with hybrid/AWD now being available, that's the draw for me as well. I've been waiting all this time for that combo. But for you getting a FX4 that is another positive for a '25.

I do have a 2025 Hybrid AWD Lariat. I had a 2023 Tremor.

If buying an EcoBoost today - I would absolutely get a 2025 for the port and direct injection alone. Plus Sync 4 solves the camera issues and then some.

Here’s part of my reasoning on getting a fx4.
I tow a boat and they are salt water ramps that get slippery.
I would get a hybrid AWD, BUT it does not have front tow hooks, which to me no hooks on a truck is nuts.
I have a hybrid now, it’s been a good little truck.
But since I only put on 5k a year the hit on gas mileage isnt a big hit for me.

I can understand that. I wish there were tow hooks standard but most of them go unused in the truck's life.

With as little as you're driving EB is a fine choice. I enjoyed the heck out of my Tremor but wanted the efficiency of AWD Hybrid (even if it really isn't anywhere as efficient as stated).

Something I read recently has me favoring 2025s a bit more, but it's pure speculation on my part.

We all know Ford went way cheap on a lot of their vehicles, with warranties and recalls murdering margins. So the CEO has been vocal for two years now that they're gonna fix that. Well last week he was quoted saying that Ford is now rolling out quality improvements across the product line that will improve long term reliability and reduce those profit-killing warranty claims.

So here's the speculative part. Zero evidence to support this. I'm wondering if the technical changes we know about are part of that quality initiative? Explaining the engine changes to the ecoboost and the transmission changes to the hybrid, and so on. In other words, is the 2025 Maverick gonna benefit from the Ford reliability push?

Farley specifically talked about reliability "years down the road". I'm still hoping that Ford held a refresh event for journalists, filled with technical information. But I haven't seen any evidence of that yet.

I think a choice should be yours. Look at the difference in price not how much they knock off. So how much more for the 25.

After you get that number than realizing a 25 will have more resale in 3 years keep that in mind. More importantly look at what the 25 has over the 24.

From what I gather and didn't realize the 2.0 maybe different? Here is a couple videos you may want to watch.

I do know the 25 will have a push button start also sync 4, a larger infotainment screen , digital dash. It also has a portion of co-pilot 360. On the 25 to get the FX4 I believe you have to get the co-pilot 360 2.0. Seeing I'm not sure if that's true you will have to look into it and if true what that includes and if you even want it.

I would go with the 25 if it was me. The updated technology would be nice, plus there is no telling when the 24's will be able to be sold.
