When a man sets his mind on doing something, you fit the bill. For me, I will probably buy the $15 heated 12v seat cushions from Amazon. I would only use them for a few months of the year anyway.

Great! Only one issue, although, not enough of an issue for me to change the switches. The switches show a red light when on high and a green light whom low. The passenger side lost the green light, it glows red on both low and high. It didn’t change the pad temperature. From what I can tell, just the light, again, not enough to make a change.

I have heated seats so this doesn't really apply to me, but can you feel the wiring/heater application through the seat? As in, any hard spots? I've heard in many heated seat modifications done without getting something like Katzkins you can often feel them and it's uncomfortable.

I purchased the pigtails from quality mobile video.com.
I had no issues feeling the elements. I know they are there but I don’t feel the wires, I think if someone feels the elements with the kit I purchased , there may some installer error.

They’ve been great! They really help when the truck is still cold, they warm up before the heat does.
The pigtail just extends the power past the fuse it occupies, while still protecting the original circuit. There is an inline 10 amp fuse from the pigtail to the seats.
so far so good, they’ve been on every day since the install

I've installed that same kit in previous vehicles of mine a 2012 F-150 crew cab a 2016 Ford fusion and a 2002 Corvette Z06. The kit was great and lasted as long as the vehicle or longer. You can find the kit for two seats with everything needed on Amazon for 70 bucks or less.

Worth every penny in my opinion.

It's so easy to do easiest if you have a garage and a spare table where you can set the seats on while you remove the covers to run the wiring and install the heated seat inserts.

The aftermarket heated seat kit is the same as OEM it's a carbon fiber heating element that installs under your fabric seat covers or faux leather seat covers and sticks to the foam cushion. Nothing different other than your installing these after the purchase of the vehicle. Many times if you run them to the OEM heated seat circuit they work like OEM when you shut the car off they go off when you turn the key on they come on if you leave them any on position even with remote start. That's how I wired them in my 12 F-150 XLT and they worked perfectly with remote start and everything.

Each heated seat has its own fused circuit. If you install it properly you cannot feel the wire running to the heated element you install it just like OEM it runs through the bottom or the back side of the seat cushion foam. You can see that on my previous post pics of my past installs.

The heating element pads can be cut to fit the cushions as long as you don't cut the heating wires that run along the sides.

I am looking for the switches that you installed in the dash and a little more info on how the pad is connected from the fuse tap to the switch, and most importantly under the seat. Is there 12V switched power available under the seat and if, so where from?

The under the hood fuse box shows that one 20 amp (47) fuse handles both power seats, there is a separate 30 amp fuse for the power drivers seat (42). Some doing the mod in post are using 2 separate 10amp fuses on the floor board. There were questions on weather a single 20 amp fuse could handle the load. It would seem so, as long as the correct wire gauge is used.

Look on eBay they have the best selection right now. I purchased my kids from Amazon and had great luck with them over the years, in the three trucks and cars I installed them in. Post 26 shows you my 12 F-150 and 02 Z06 I installed them in.

I found the easiest way for me to get heated seats. Was to the box when ordering or look for a used vehicle with heated seats and steering wheel.
The cheapest way would be with the heating pad.
The Maverick with its plug in 120 outlet in the console will support a heating pad.
