I'm offended by your remark that car salesman are " self selecting for dullards and simpletons." I have known many car salesmen/women that are far from your description. I suppose your a rocket scientist or surgeon?

Car salesmen/women and real estate agents are in the same useless third party category that wants to make money for adding $0 value to my transaction. I'll admit that I'm much more informed than the average consumer, but unfortunately that doesn't mean I can skip them and their take.

They can be a smart as a rocket surgeon, or a simpleton, but either way they are useless to me.

If the last digit of cert. # is 1, have you tried changing it to a 2. Tim B. stated in video that the last digit was changed if there was a duplicate order #.

Yep I had the salesman try 1 and 2 at end. The 1 brought up a guy with same order code as me. 2 brought up nothing.

I think having the same order code on both our orders for '22 hybrids probably screwed up the system, but who knows. My dealer doesn't and won't figure it out, thats for sure.

I told them, this person has the same order code as me and it gives him a cert, I should have one also since we are both hybrid rollovers from 22. But they said he gets it since he has cert #, I don't.

I went ahead and bought my truck. They signed a form saying that if there was a rebate I would receive it not the dealer. I then crucified them on the survey. Low and behold the next day the general manager called me saying he wished I brought it to his attention sooner. I indicated I tried and had been coming in every week for two months to get it resolved. He provided a tracking number that I verified with big ford to see about about my rebate. It is still not here yet but fingers crossed. I wasn’t going to walk away from the truck so this was my only option. If they fail to get the rebate to me I will be happy to let them have it on every review site I can find.

Seems like in the interest of generating goodwill for their truck buyers Ford would have some kind of liason office for when the dealers try to eff over the customers.

So after 500 days my truck arrives at dealer yesterday.

I have previously asked my salesman about the private offer, but they said they don't see one and wait till truck gets in and then it should appear. We know how that went.

I should also mention they have no clue what this offer is about, that I qualify or any of it. I had to spell it out to them, sending the EFC10955 document wording to them.

This goes back and forth some more. They even said I changed some of my options and that might have screwed it up. I said no way removing SIBL back in 2021 has anything to do with this process. I said if you read the document you see I should get the offer, but they don't care.

He finally went to call someone about it. Came back and said there is no certificate and the person he called said they cant do anything, its auto generated. I said you have to get it generated, he was very irritated and walked off for the last time.

@fordvideoguy @Ford Motor Company is there no recourse on this process to get the offer. I meet all the requirements:

Rollover and confirmed before cutoff date

TLDR: This Private Offer situation is very screwed up

I ran into a similar problem and finally was able call Ford Motor Co. , Marketing Dept. 1-800-334-4375. To ask about the “Transition Private Offer”. They'll ask for your old VIN and address. In my case I moved from Florida to Georgia. Mrktg. said they couldn't update the address on the COVP, but the dealer could. Dealer said they couldn't, but at least was able to use some other certificates that came close to the original. Good luck. I hope you're successful.

Go into the dealer and call (800) 548-3212 (dealer hotline number). They can help explain how things work.

Yea the two guys coming into the office were not trying to work with me at all.

Perhaps they were upset when they had called me earlier that my truck was unable to be delivered because of an airbag recall that could take a month or more. I told them that was 2022 not 23s. It's like if you question anything they say they get irritated. As soon as I walked in the door, they said its recalled.

Their service department guy told them they were wrong after they took me to service department.
Incredible...and disgusting. Other folks should avoid this dealer like the plague.

Sorry if this is a repeat, but in case it isn't... In the end, I didn't have a problem with my Private Offer, but I was bracing myself for it. Looked at my notes from December. At that time, when I contacted Ford at 800-392-3673 they were able to confirm my Private Offer Program # and Certificate #. So I assume that they see nothing for you? My notes (perhaps from Tim B's indispensible input?) said that if there were issues, Ford Marketing Communication should be contacted at 800-548-3212. Duh, just noticed that BillyGoat gave out the same number. Well, I'll leave the reply regardless.

There is a major update coming on this. It's still being worked but I have a certificate now, not sure on the amount. Will know more tomorrow.

I may make a separate thread in a couple days on how I got this resolved in hopes of helping others in my situation.

I walked into multiple dealerships and this seemed fine. The whole process has been ok with them till now, but once the lack of Private offer certficate came up, that's when it went downhill.

They dont like being pushed to investigate, but its 3k we're talking about. Not something to walk away from.
Call Ford customer service with your order code, sales code and vin if you have it. They will be able to tell you if an offer was generated and if it was give you a certificate number.
