I did not have to provide DL. Just ordered thru horsham few days ago
Steven or Tom didn't request you sign the DORA and return it with a copy of your Drivers License? He did mine on the original order and the first change.

I wonder if they are trying to weed out the people who ordered multiple vehicles from different dealerships, with the intention of not buying all of them.
I hope they are.

I didn't have to do any of that. I even emailed and asked if I needed to, and they said it showed as confirmed in the system.

No they did not. I asked If there was anything more to do and they said no

Why would your dealer call you with that info if they already had your DL??

The dealer asked that you come in today to sign a purchase agreement?
I don't know the reasons behind it. I had already gotten a confirmed order email from Ford, so I know I was already in the system.

I actually got my order confirmation from Ford before I even sent in my license/signed DORA to Chapman

I was not required to provide a DL or put a deposit down. I asked multiple times and was told that it’s not necessary.

Got scheduled yesterday. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I am glad Ford is contacting customers to verify orders so that those who advance order are not getting pushed backwards. They should also query their database for multiple orders from the same address and then contact the customer and say pick one and delete the other orders.

Cancelled my first order with a local dealer today, when they called about me sending in my DL info.

It's doubtful there's a massive amount of folks with duplicate orders out there. Or that even those will slow down orders for those with no patience.😂

Ok, it may slow your order by 60 seconds.😉
Jeez, I thought my patience was thin. Some of you clearly have me beat.

The salesman did say, they had to have the info in by the 25th of this month. I wonder what was special about that date?

All I had to do was text a pic of my DL to the dealership. I haven't signed a DORA, put down a deposit, seen or even talked to my salesman yet (only email/text) and I'm already scheduled for a build.

Wonder if your dealer got caught with their hand in the cookie jar and is having to pay for it now?
Same. All I did is email my DL to my sales person. I didn't sign a DORA or give deposit. Only thing my build is confirmed but not send to the factory for build yet.

I was going to call Ford to see if they might have more info.

Is the number 1-800-392-3673 open on weekends?

Just got a call from my dealer. Ford is making dealers verify orders to actual customers, to make sure dealers aren't making up orders to get inventory, and perhaps to eliminate multiple orders across multiple dealers to game the system.
When I ordered today, the copied my Driver's License when they took my deposit, rather than waiting until the actual purchase.

With your plan limiting a married couple to only ordering one Maverick, that would mean the wife gets the Maverick and the husband is stuck with their old vehicle! Not fair! LOL
